Zion POV
“AZAH” I screamed, my voice shrilling from her reaction. She’s running away.
I didn’t notice till now how many eyes were on us. Fuck. I knew that traditionally once the Alpha had found their mate, we are meant to mindlink the council and the high ranks instantly. My mind wasn’t there. With that note I blocked the council members’ mindlink. This isn’t the time, I need to find Azah.
I began to follow her scent. The drenching thought came swimming in my mind of having to break away from my true mate to be with her. I’m aware of my challenges with this, the council members would want a true Luna. Telling them that I’ll reject a scarce union, I knew this subject wouldn’t be taken lightly. I’m ready for this challenge but is she? I wouldn’t… I just couldn’t part ways with Azah, not unless she wanted to.
Zeus and I are panicking now, wondering where the hell she could’ve gone.
Yeshua's mind links me “Michael and Sophia are mates.”
“Congratulations to them both,” I said through the mindlink.
I am happy for Michael. He waited for 3 years, all the while seeing Sophia date other guys and then her heart being broken by them. I remember how it took Yeshua, Josiah and I to overpower Michael’s wolf Micah just from killing one of Sophia’s exes as he almost punched him to death. Midway through the search approaching the outside of the building I notice that her scent had changed. Her spirit must’ve taken over.
Instantly Zeus and I are alert.
Follow her. He demanded.
Before I could even get the chance to mindlink Yeshua, he rushes next to me in panic.
Yeshua had already sensed her energy change.
“Let’s go,” Yeshua said.
“Where is she?” stopping Yeshua from shifting as I place my hand tightly around his left arm. This girl, Azah, has me doing things I’ve never done before. I’m not one to make physical contact unless necessary, neither is Yeshua. Nor have I ever been this demanding and forceful to Yeshua before.
Yeshua places his hand on top of the one I have around his arm.
“Zion.” His eyes glow momentarily, a different shade from the usual electric blue. This time his eyes were the colour of bright ocean green. He is now calmer than before. I’ve only seen that colour in one person, his mother when she uses her powers. I start to feel a sense of soothing induced throughout my body as I let go of his arm.
“Alpha Zion.”
“Sorry, Yeshua.” He nods in understanding, as he shifts.
“I’ll wait for you. The coven has informed me that the SilverMoon pack has taken Azah. ”
I mindlink everyone.
“Beta Michael, congratulations on your union but I’m going to need you. There’s trouble, one of the SilverMoon pack members has taken Azah.”
“Yes, Alpha Zion.” Beta Micah answered.
“Beta Micah will be taking charge for the protection of the town. Yeshua and I will be heading out. Gamma Josiah, bring forth your commanders and their unit force groups.”
“Yes, Alpha Zion.” Gamma Jere answered.
“Azah scent can longer be tracked, meaning her spirit may have taken form or both are asleep due to the shock. I will go to the spirit world. Alpha Zeus, it’s time.” Guardian Yehu said.
“PACK WARRIORS”
“YES ALPHA ZION”
“And Gamma Jere, you smell a new wolf scent similar to Guardian Yehu. Stand your ground when he approaches, he is on our side. His scent is of the Moon’s family.”
“We have done the planning, now it’s time. Don’t disappoint.”
“YES ALPHA ZION”
Yehu uses his powers to take us to Lun Garden. There isn’t much time. Wondering why Yehu is taking too long to leave. He shifted back.
“Why did you shift back?”
“The spirit world… it’s dark.” Yeshua replied
“Dark?”
“Azah has darkened the spirit world, well her spirit world. If I go in there, I may get lost forever. There’s no light.”
“Shit. did they do this?”
Ignoring my question he asked
“Is she your mate?”
“What? Fuck, Yeshua your asking that question during this time!”
“Yehu... I don’t know what he is sometimes thinking.”
“WELL!” I yelled impatiently.
“Patience young one.”
“Imma kill you Yehu! I’ve been patient!”
“We will wait. Zion listen. Truly listens to the garden. It asks for us to wait, Azah and her spirit will bring us to them. The garden asked us to wait.”
Taking in a deep breath, allowing the spellbound of the garden to take its course. I glance up to the Moon, noticing its chords of once-lasered lights, now dim in light.
And so we wait.
