Goddess's Prophecy: From Rogue to Luna
Chapter Twenty-Three

Without thinking or letting another moment pass, “Maverick, I love you.” He pulled back and I was nervous not knowing his reaction, he smiled kissing me hard yet full of passion, and emotion. He pulled away, “I love you Micaiah, I will not be letting you out of my sight for quite some time.” I smiled at him seeing everything I wanted in life right before me. A thunderous clap pulled us out of our distracted moment. The witches were still battling, each growing more and more tired at that moment. I held onto Maverick with everything I had scared in this moment. EJ, Dylan, and Shawn ran to us holding us tightly in a group hug. We all turned watching the two battles left before us. 

Malcolm and the other Alpha were going head-to-head, both wearing down, bloody, and it was a war between them. the fear in my stomach was causing me to slightly shake, scared for Malcolm and Lacey. Bianca, using her hand throwing Lacey far into a tree, causing her to land with a thud. Malcolm momentarily distracted causing the Alpha to get the upper hand landing a hard upper cut to Malcolm knocking him on his back, he could possibly be out cold.

From that moment everything happened so fast blink and you would miss it. Lacey got onto her feet seeing Malcolm on the ground her emotions rising within her causing a volleyball size electric ball to grow between her hands. She tosses it straight at Bianca hitting her in the stomach. The Alpha running behind her taking his claws and impaling Lacey through the back into her stomach. She fell, Bianca falling to her death looked at me smiling and through a dark glowing ball of her power at me. Maverick shoved me out of the way taking the hit in the process falling to the ground immediately barely breathing. I screamed seeing Maverick almost lifeless.

Malcolm seeing his mate on the ground barley breathing herself covered in her own blood at the hands of the Alpha. He roared in pain; anger began shifting in the process. Yet he did not shift fully into his wolf, they merged. In half wolf form and half human standing before us, even through my pain holding my dying mate I was in awe of my brother. Standing on two large muscular dark grey fur wolf legs, instead of four. He was a Lycan wolf, and he was unleashed.

He roared and you could feel the emotion roll off him in waves. He had his eyes set on the Alpha that harmed his soul mate. The Alpha fell back at his transformation, his eyes were full of fear. He was shaking as Malcolm walked his way. no words had to be spoken the Alpha knew him touching Lacey sent Malcolm over the edge and at this moment he was regretting that very action. Being a Lycan he could speak in both forms without using a mind link.

“You are a fool, a coward, a pathetic excuse of an Alpha. You dare harm the one I love most. If you were not as ignorant as you are, you would see the prophecy never changed old man. I am your end.” Without letting another second pass, Malcolm grabbed the Alpha by his throat lifting him off the ground until he was eye to eye with him and squeezed the life out of him. He crushed his throat in his bare hand and watched as the life left him. he threw the Alpha to the side like the trash he was. Dylan and Shawn had freed the others being held. EJ grabbed the bags they left in the woods throwing sweat to Malcolm who shifted and changed. He went to his mate holding her tightly to his chest as she to was barley breathing.

I too was holding my mate as his chest was barely moving. I could hear his heart rate getting more faint by each passing second. The tears fell from my eyes unable to hold them in any longer. Looking at my mate, looking at Malcolm and Lacey. They gave their lives to save us. Why is fate so cruel, why is fate so harsh to those who have hearts of gold. I began talking whether there was anyone listening or not. “I am so sorry my love. First Jake and Cammy, then you and Lacey. It seems everyone I love is dying. Why? Please do not leave me Maverick, Alaric please do not leave Akiva and I. We need you both please stay with us.

I held him crying into his chest I could not handle the pain of my heart breaking when I faintly heard what sounded like a whisper. I looked at the others and they too looking around showing me I was not hearing things; someone was trying to communicate with me. Then I heard it, a man’s voice, “Micaiah, remember.” I was even more confused. There was no one in sight but someone was clearing speaking to me. “Micaiah, remember who you truly are.” Then it hit me. I am not who I thought. I am the daughter of the moon goddess and the sun god. I am not your ordinary wolf.

Malcolm carried Lacey over to me and laid her by Maverick. Crying in his own lost but there is something inside me wanting out, a power I have never felt before. I looked up and noticed there was an eclipse about to happen, and I felt more powerful than ever. I stood up in between Lacey and Maverick holding my hands over both of them. The others staring at me in complete confusion which I do not blame them I was also confused but somehow, I knew I could bring them back.

As my hands were held over their bodies, I thought of the love I had for both of them. Lacey, my protector. She said my mate, she saved me. She was the levelheaded warrior keeping us all calm and when she spoke of Malcolm the love in her eyes and in her words was inspiring.

My mate: The crazy Alpha who did not know how to show emotions correctly, neither did I. The way his eyes sparkled when he looked at me with such care and adoration. The way he always tried even when I was being hard-headed. He never gave up on me even when I was an ass. He stood by me and made sure no matter what to show me he cared.

I looked down and seeing my hands start glowing a bright blue. I then continued to let the love I had for Lacey, Malcolm, EJ, Emma, Shawn, Dylan, Jake, Cammy, my family, my friends, and for Maverick flow through me. As the power left me and entered them, I was waiting in anticipation. Suddenly, they both gasped taking in the first breath of air. I fell to my knees on top of Maverick holding him tightly. Malcolm scooped up Lacey not wanting to let her go.

“Micaiah babe, I just started breathing again you’re choking me with your hug.” I hurried off him and repeatedly apologized to him and he laughed grabbing me into another bear hug. The others came and joined us and without hesitation we left this place behind and teleported home.

Emma came running out of the house hugging me and then EJ. Maverick looked at me “Babe, I am not complaining but how did you bring us back?” I did not have time to respond when suddenly a bright light appeared. We covered our eyes; the light was blinding as two figures were walking out of the light. “She did it because she is our daughter.” When the light dimmed, and everything cleared there stood my birth parents the god of sun and goddess of moon. The others bowed at the Gods before them and their power radiating off of them. All but me because I was their blood. “Please rise,” my mother spoke with such elegance. “I am Helios the god of the sun, this is my mate as you know her Selene, goddess of the moon. Micaiah is our daughter and with our powers flowing through her she was able to bring you back because it was not your time.” We all looked at each other and back to them. “We do not have much time the eclipse is soon over, once it is I can only visit you when the sun lights the earth and Selene can only visit when the Moon light glows.” Helios my father spoke, then my mother. “Malcolm, you fulfilled your prophecy, your true destiny becoming the Lycan I destined you to be.” She smiled at Malcolm who bowed in thanks and appreciation to her.

“Micaiah your prophecy is yet to be complete. It is not over for you; we will need to train you to harness the powers within you.” My mother looked into my eyes with what to me was fear and then I squeezed Maverick’s hand who with his other was rubbing my back to keep me calm. My father then looked walked before me “Micaiah there is a greater evil out there than that you just faced. It is coming and only you can defeat it.” Maverick squeezed my hand at the threat of something coming to take me from him again. “We will train you, help you, aide you when we can but only you can defeat this evil, and he knows it Micaiah. He is coming for you.”
