Jeremiah was close with Alan and Leo’s biological father, Bando.
It was the reason why Leo believed he could ask Jeremiah to kill Kaze.
With Jeremiah’s involvement, Leo could also set an example for the other elders in the company who wished to usurp the position after Alan passed.
