My wolf howled within me, demanding to be released. I struggled to keep her under control, but it was a losing battle. She surged forward, her rage overriding my self- control. Instantly, I was engulfed by my wolf, my eyes glowing a bright, fiery red.

I felt my fangs elongating, and I let out a low growl. The woman took a step back, her eyes wide with fear.

My claws extended, sharp and deadly, and I swiped at the woman’s face. She let out a cry of pain and fell to the ground, clutching her face. Blood was streaming from her wounds, and she was trembling in fear. I towered over her, a snarl on my l*ps.

The other pack members gasped, and some of them took a step back. I could see the fear in their eyes, and I felt a twinge of regret. But my wolf was still in control, and I couldn’t pull myself back.

After a moment, I forced myself to speak, my voice a low growl. “Do not test me,” I said, my eyes still glowing red. “I am stronger than you know, and I will not hesitate to use my power to protect myself and this pack. Do you understand?”

The woman nodded, her face pale. The other pack members were still watching, their eyes wide with fear and uncertainty. I took a deep breath, and felt myself returning to my human form.

My claws retracted, and my eyes returned to their blue color. I felt a wave of exhaustion wash over me, and I had to lean against the podium for support. The woman sat up, her hand still clasped to her face. I looked at her, my expression apologetic.

“I apologize for what I did,” I said, my voice heavy regretfully. “But you cannot question my honor or my loyalty to this pack. I am doing everything I can to protect it, and I will not let anyone stand in my way.”

I took a deep breath, trying to calm my racing heart.

The room was suddenly empty, apart from the three of us. The Beta looked at me, his expression unreadable. The Alpha was silent, but his eyes were fixed on me. I took another deep breath, trying to gather my thoughts.

“Gabriella, what you did just now was incredible,” the Beta said, his eyes filled with wonder. “I have never seen such strength, such resolve. You truly are an extraordinary

I felt my cheeks flush, and I looked down at my feet. “I don’t know what to say,” I mumbled. “I just… did what, I felt, was right.”

The Beta smiled, his expression warm and sincere. “That is precisely what makes you so special,” he said.

“I apologize for losing control like that,” I said, my voice still trembling. “I did not mean to cause such a scene.”

“It is understandable,” the Beta said, his voice soft. “The pack has been through a lot lately, and emotions are running high. I know you did not mean any harm.”

Matthew remained silent, but I could sense his presence behind me. I turned to face. him, and I could see the conflict in his eyes.

“You are more than worthy of being a Luna,” the Beta said, his voice filled with respect. “Your strength and your heart make you the perfect candidate for the role. I know you will make an excellent leader.”

The Beta straightened, a smile still on his face. “It is hard to he said. “But you have what it takes. Trust me on this.”

I swallowed hard, unsure of what to say. “Thank you,” I said, my voice barely a whisper.

It was the most wonderful feeling in the world. I had never felt so alive, so complete. And I knew, at that moment, that I would never be the same again.

He pulled away, and I opened my eyes, dazed and breathless. He was staring at me, his eyes filled with wonder and adoration. I smiled, a blush spreading across my cheeks.
