Her Dark Lycan
chapter 9

She was back in the place she first set eyes on her mate, but the circumstances were very different and she didn't know how to feel about that.

Dante sat behind his desk in his black sharp suit, while Venus was in a pair of ripped jeans, a sleeveless top and a pair of low top vans.

After the kiss in front of the entire pack, Venus couldn't stop blushing, hours later when Dante and the rest were back to training on her way home she was questioning what she really meant to him. He chose Ariana, but he kissed her, he didn't want her but he was jealous of Dean. Venus decided that before she lost her mind she would much rather talk to him about it and settle it once and for all.

Around 5 in the evening she walked up to his office, knocked and then shortly after entered upon his permission.

James and Sophia had advised that she stay calm and not loose her temper.

"Sit," he commanded, not sparing her a glance and rummaging through a stack of papers.

She did as told, annoyed that he wouldn't acknowledge her presence.

She cleared her throat, once. Twice.

"What do you want,” Dante growled impatiently.

Shocked and angered Venus snapped,

"Don't you dare growl at me or use that tone of voice with me Dante, not after the stunt you pulled in the clearing today.”

"What do you want," he muttered.

It was this time that Venus held her breath, the question was on the tip of her tongue yet she couldn't say it out loud.

The silence made Dante look up and raise a thick brow, the specks of gold in his green eye seemed to be glowing along with the black rim that held the storm of his dark ocean blue eyes. "Whatarewe?" Venus let out in one breath.

Dante studied her in silence.

It unnerved her.

"What do you think we are?" He asked instead, leaning back in his chair.

His hot gaze made Venus look down at her entwined hands, there was so much going through her, she was in a turmoil

"I don't know," she whispered ever so lowly, for it had not been for his sharp senses he would have missed it.

Sighing he stood up and walked around the desk to stand in front of her.

Using his thumb and forefinger he held her chin in between and made her look at him, sparks zapping through them upon their touch.

"Tell me what really is on your mind Venus," he demanded huskily, his voice deep and rough, but gentle as if not to startle her.

"I-I just-" venus started but couldn't make a sentence.

She inhaled deeply and then said,

"I want to know what we are and where i stand, you chose Ariana as your mate yet you kissed me twice now, you say you do not want me but you almost ripped a warriors head off because he touched me," Venus said, her voice shaky and her eyes begging him to make known the truth. Dante clenched his jaw and walked towards the window, his back towards her.

"First of all Venus we are mates, there is no question in that and as for Ariana, she and I are-" Dante got cut off when the door was thrown open and there stood a very sweaty and shirtless Knox and a wide eyed Gabriel.

"What is the meaning of this,” Dante demanded.

"Alpha, you've got to see this we found this footage from last night from one of the security cameras, and we double- no triple checked it to make sure we are not blind or insane," Gabriel rushed out and it was the first time Venus saw him loose his composure.

Frowning Dante nodded.

"Dante we- uh- I don't know how to explain this but,” Knox started.

"Spit. It. Out.” Dante let out through clenched teeth, his 6'3 frame humming with anger.

"Its your father!" Gabriel let out.

The thick silence that filled the room made it hard for Venus to breathe, as she looked at Knox and Gabriel that had worry written across their beautiful faces.

While Dante started shaking, his huge form trembling.

"Show me," he growled.

The men went forward and inserted a USB into the laptop.

The film started, it was towards the borders of the pack, everything seemed normal until a tall man emerged from within the woods, looking around to make sure no one was there.

He then started walking around as if looking for something, his steps sure and determinated and his shoulders taunt.

Venus watched Dantes hand clench into a fist, she bit her lip, wanting to help him but refrained. After a few minutes the man seemed to take in a liquid in a tube, and while chugging his drink down his hood fell off, and his face was towards the camera.

Dantes body stiffened and Venus gasped.

The man was an exact replica of Dante, except for the scar running across his left cheek, if Venus didn't know any better she would say that was his ... father.

Her eyes widened, she looked at Dante, his eyes had glazed over.

"I watched him die," Dante said

"I WATCHED HIM DIE HOW IS HE ALIVE," he roared and stood to his full height.

His lycan was about to come out.

"VENUS GET OUT OF HERE!" Gabriel thundered. Running across the room and taking a hold of Dante, trying to keep him at bay.

Knox rushed to them and pushed him down, trying to slow his shift.

Venus watched petrified, as Dantes styled hair was now messy, his suit had wrinkles on them, the alpha was down on his knees trying to fight back a shift.

As if her body had a mind of its own she walked towards him despite the warnings the Beta and Gamma were giving her.

She went down to her knees in front of him, and placed her hands on either side of his face. His trembling slowed down but his body was still working through the shift.

She looked at the boys and nodded for them to leave, they were hesitant at first but then left. Venus moved back and watched her mate turn into his lycan, thick midnight black fur sprouted from his body, his clothes tore right through the middle, his body rippling with muscle and humming with power.

Her mate in all his glory standing at 7 feet, he then went on all fours and watched Venus with curiosity in his beautiful eyes.

He rounded her and Venus stood still.

"Lorenzo," she called out, the lycan paused and growled deep in his throat. He liked her calling his name.

"Mate," Lorenzo said, his voice if possible more deeper than Dantes and more rough.

"Come here," she said, as she sat on the tiled floor and crossed her legs, she wasn't scared. Hesitantly he walked towards her and then settled his head in her lap while she ran her fingers through his fur, feeling the silkiness.

He hummed and she giggled.

He looked up and licked her face and Venus shrieked.

"You're too cute,” Venus cooed

The offended lycan puffed his chest out and growled at her statement, cute!

"I am not cute mate I am dangerous," Lorenzo said.

Venus shook her head at him.

"Who said he chose her," Lorenzo stated.

Venus paused, what.

"No Dante chose her as his mate," Venus insisted.

"Mate you think too much, he did no such thing, hell he didn't even find it in him to sleep with her after he found you, yes he kissed her in hopes of forgetting and tried sleeping with her, but he couldn't do it." Lorenzo said, nuzzling his snout into her neck and inhaling deeply.

Frozen Venus mumbled in a weak voice,

"Lorenzo, can you let Dante come out now."
