Her Mythical Warriors (Book One)
Chapter Seven: Don’t Want to Be Like Her

Two hours later, they were on the road, destination, up in the air. Akira sat in the back with Malique at her side. Her Warriors had decided to take turns driving and sitting in the back with her. She smiled and leaned her head against her Warrior’s shoulder. She felt him stiffen for a moment, then relax.

Akira sighed when he moved his arm so that it was around her. She cuddled closer to him and closed her eyes. She never knew shopping could be so exhausting—between keeping Malique from eating everyone who looked at her and explaining to the manager what had happened. She was mentally exhausted.

“Do you feel a pull in any direction, Akira?” Wolfric asked, looking at her through the rearview mirror.

She looked up at him and shook her head. She has no idea how to search for her Warriors. She was never trained for that growing up. Because her parents and everyone else believed her to be an Empty Vessel. And for the past five years, Brynhildr has been training her in other ways. Brynhildr once said that she will know her Warriors by their connection when they look into her eyes.

“I guess we’ll travel until you feel something,” Wolfric said with a smile.

She nodded, then closed her eyes. She has three more Warriors to find. What if they all want to kiss her? Her eyes flew open. Is that what this is about? Is she looking for a mate? Like her mom and dad?

NO! She does not want that.

Akira does not want to live her life like her mother. Having to do what her Warriors tell her. Akira quickly sat up and moved away from Malique.

Malique looked over at Akira, confused. ‘What was wrong? Everything was going so well.’

Malique looked at Wolfric through the rearview mirror. He saw the look on his friend’s face that he was sure was on his own face. Something was bothering their Psychi.

Akira felt a tear slide down her cheek and leaned her head against the cold pane of the car window. She cannot live like that, not again.

“Akira,” Malique said, placing his hand on her shoulder.

Akira felt the connection to her Warrior when he touched her. She wanted to brush it off, but she could not. It is already starting; she is being trapped into the web of being a Havent.

“Fool.”

Yes—she is a fool. Brynhildr’s voice in her head made her sniffle. Even her ancestor finds her ridiculous for falling into the same mess as her mother.

“Fool child.”

Akira scrunched up her face. She knows she is a fool; her ancestor does not have to rub it in. A gust of wind blew through the car, and Wolfric pulled over onto the side of the road. Akira closed her eyes. Maybe they will leave her on the side of the road, and she can hitch a ride back to town.

Akira squealed when her door was yanked open, and she almost fell out. If not for the seatbelt, she would have fallen on her head. Wolfric pushed her back into the car while Malique unfastened her belt as well as his own. Once the three of them were in the back together, Akira between two very powerful Warriors, they sat for a moment saying nothing.

“Akira,” Wolfric started.

She looked up at him. He turned his head and looked down at her.

“What’s on that pretty little mind of yours?”

She felt a blush creep up her neck and turned her head from him. How can she tell her Wolfie that she is afraid of living the same life again?

“Akira,” Malique said, turning her head to face him, “you were happy. What has changed?” Sᴇaʀ*ᴄh the (ꜰind)ɴʘvel.nᴇt website on Gøøglᴇ to access chapters of novels early and in the highest quality.

She shrugged, pretending she did not know what they were talking about. But she did not fool them.

Malique stared into her eyes as he leaned toward her.

Akira’s eyes widened when she realized what his intentions were. She sucked in a breath when his lips touched hers. It was not like the kiss she had shared with Wolfie. This kiss was gentle and simple. When he pulled back, her heart was beating so fast she could barely breathe.

“What’s wrong?” Malique asked, his eyes moving back and forth between hers.

“I don’t want to live my mother’s life,” she whispered.

Wolfric grunted, and Malique looked up at him.

Akira squealed as Wolfric lifted her and placed her on his lap facing him. She shivered as her legs straddled him.

Wolfric looked into Akira’s eyes and placed his hands on either side of her face. “Akira. Your father isn’t a true Warrior.”

Akira stared at him as if he had grown two heads.

Wolfric chuckled, “a true Warrior would never harm his Havent. She is his Psychi. The one-woman he is meant to love for eternity.”

She frowned. “What if I choose someone else to be my mate?”

Wolfric took a deep breath. “Then I will be your bodyguard. I will love you just as much as I do now….”

“You love me?”

Wolfric and Malique chuckled.

“Akira. I have not had a woman since the day I met the cutest little three-year-old in the whole world. You’re my everything.”

She shook her head. “I don’t want to be pushed around anymore.”

Wolfric snorted, “your mother and father’s relationship was not natural. A Warrior is meant to protect and love their Havent. Not abuse and neglect them.”

“Also, if I remember correctly,” Malique said, placing a hand on Akira’s back. “The Havent is the one in charge.”

Akira’s eyes widened when she remembered how her Warriors had responded to her commands when the Councilman had been at their cabin. Brynhildr had taught her a few tricks on how to handle her Warriors, but she had not realized she was in charge.

‘But why?’

Wolfric pulled her to him and kissed her. She moaned as she melted into the kiss. When he pulled back from the kiss, he was smiling.

“Are you afraid of me?” he asked softly.

Akira shook her head. “No. You’re my Wolfie.”

Wolfric chuckled, “I’m not your father.”

She smiled a wicked smile. “I know that.”

With a grunt, he pulled her back for another kiss.

“Wolfie,” she sighed against his mouth.

How could she have ever doubted her wolf?

“I love you, Akira. I always have, and I always will. Your mother and father’s relationship was never based on love. He was her last Warrior.”

“What does that mean?” Akira asked, looking into her Wolfie’s eyes.

She loved looking into his beautiful eyes. One was brown, and one was the most beautiful blue. She could get lost in them all day.

Wolfric thought about how to tell her about her parents. “Your mother had five Warriors, as you will have.”

Akira nodded. She knew that part.

“When the other four died, she was left with Apollo. Who was not even in her top four picks for her mate.”

Akira blinked. That she had not known.

“Your mother had a mate before her other Warriors were killed, then she had to settle for your father,” Wolfric said.

He placed his hand to the back of her head and pulled her to him. “I won’t let any of your Warriors treat you as your father treated your mother,” he promised. He pulled her against him and kissed her hard.

Akira groaned as she kissed her Wolfie. He is such a good kisser; she wanted to be in his arms always. She felt a light kiss on the back of her neck and groaned. Malique was kissing down her shoulder, and her body was shivering from the contact.

“Fuck,” Wolfric said with a growl, nipping at her lips.

Akira moaned and opened her mouth to him. His tongue plunged in, tangling with hers. Her body shivered as she kissed him back. Tingling sensations exploded through her body, and she pushed herself against him.

“Akira,” Wolfric groaned.

He moved his hand between them and up her skirt, then across her thighs. She moaned against his mouth and ground herself against him.

“This isn’t the right place for this,” Malique said with a chuckle as he helped Wolfric lift her skirt.

Wolfric moved his fingers against Akira’s panties and got a sweet moan from her lips.

‘Yeah, this is happening now,’ Wolfric thought as he kissed her throat.

“Wolfie,” Akira moaned as she leaned her head back against the seat behind her.

Malique pushed her shirt up until her bra-encased breasts were uncovered. “Perfection,” he whispered, then nipped at her right nipple.

Akira cried out and took hold of Malique’s head, making him groan.

“Fuck,” Wolfric mumbled. He slid his fingers inside her panties and easily found her throbbing clit.

“Oh my God,” Akira moaned, bucking against his hand.

“I need to be inside you,” Wolfric said as he played with her clit.

“Oh Gods,” Akira groaned.

She cried out when a sensation exploded through her body. Lights flashed in her eyes, and her body shot up like she was being launched out of a cannon.

Wolfric chuckled as he watched his Psychi go through her first orgasm.

“What was that?” Akira asked as she came down from the explosion.

Malique chuckled as he moved back and let Wolfric pull her against his chest.

“That, my love, was an orgasm.”

Akira smiled at her Wolfie. “Can I have another?”

Both her Warriors chuckled.

“You can have as many as you want,” Wolfric said as he unfastened his pants.

A loud tap on the car window had Akira squealing and both men grunting. Malique rolled down the fogged window as Wolfric held their Psychi against his chest to hide her from the officer.

“Is everything all right in there?” the officer asked.

“No,” Wolfric grumbled.

Wolfric did not like being interrupted. He has waited fifteen years to be with his Psychi like this. Akira giggled in his arms, making him playfully snap at her.

The officer looked at Akira, who was snuggling into her Warrior, then at Malique. “This isn’t a make-out spot,” he said, then pointed to the driver’s seat. “Move along.”

Malique nodded and opened the door.

The officer took a step back and investigated the back to make sure the girl was okay. She was giggling in the large man’s arms, so he did not worry too much about it. The door closed, and Malique got into the driver’s seat. They pulled back onto the highway and headed for the nearest hotel.

“That was a bit too close,” Malique grumbled.

Akira broke into fits of giggles. Her Warriors looked at her, then grinned at each other in the rearview mirror.

“What are you giggling about?” Wolfric asked, nipping at her neck.

“Nothing,” she said with a sigh.

Wolfric grunted when she ground her core against his crotch.

“Wolfie,” she whispered against his shoulder.

“Yes, little one?”

“Did you mean what you said? Do you really love me?”

Wolfric stopped her movements and held her hips still, then lifted his hands to her head and lifted it until she looked at him. He placed a hand on either side of her face and looked into her bright amber eyes.

“I love you more than words will ever say,” he said with a smile.

“Even if you’re not my mate?”

Wolfric swallowed. “Even if I’m not your mate.”

She kissed him, and he groaned as he wrapped his arms around her. She ground her center against him again as they kissed. His hands moved under her skirt, and he rubbed her ass, lifting her up and down against his crotch. His cock was so hard he knew he was going to burst soon.

They need to find a hotel, and now.
