High School Terrans
Chapter 14

Inside of his expensive mansion, Jeffrey Anderson sitting in his private office pushed a button on his desk console lowering a recessed wall to slide down revealing a large view screen before him, and then eight other smaller screens of people came to life appearing inside of it. Peter sat in front of Jeffrey’s desk looking on.

“This private channel is secure. We can all freely speak. You know why I have called you all. Our plans are moving smoothly,” Jeffrey said.

“You feel this is the correct course of action?” one of the men in the group of eight said.

“Everything is going according to plan,” he said. “This is a perfect opportunity for us.”

“I hope you know what you are doing Jeffrey,” a woman said from an adjacent screen.

“I’ve positioned myself as a teacher as well as the faculty representative for the sky surfing team,” Peter said.

“We’re taking an enormous risk by doing this. The last time anyone tried anything everyone got sent to the Peragus prison asteroid.”

“We are all well aware of what happened before,” Jeffrey replied. “However, we also have the obelisk which none of us had before now.”

“And you are positive that the professor can decipher the markings?” the second person questioned.

“I am confident he can discern the obelisk’s purpose.”

“Good,” she said.

“Meeting is adjourned.”

The screen went black and the wall rose back up.

“That went well,” Peter said.

“Yes it did,” he replied. “Rousing any suspicion?”

“No, and there is something else I feel you should take a look at.”

Peter tapped a few keys on Jeffrey’s touchpad on his desk bringing up a holo projection of Dan’s face and records.

“Dan Tracer.”

“Morgan, Nicholas and Tyler have already made contact with him,” Peter answered. “Morgan and Nicholas already have tested him once and they could tell his level of ability was off the charts.”

“So you think he can be brought over to our side?”

“Probably with the right encouragement and motivation I have no doubt.”

“Keep me posted,” Jeffrey said, turning off the holoprojector. “I don’t like what happened at the pep rally.”

“I will talk to him if you like.”

“Yes, please do. Look out for him.”

“Any cause for concern?”

“No, but sometimes my son has a mind of his own.”

Jaden stood on the pier looking out at the crashing blue waves as his mind wandered back to the day his father came to him in the den.

“Good. You’re here,” his father had said, seeing Jaden sit in his tall chair. “I’ve been meaning to talk with you.”

“I know,” Jaden replied, hopping out of his father’s tall wing-backed chair. “School starts in a few days. Remind me again of why I am attending?”

“To get an education, although that is the least of the reasons why.”

“I remember. You wanted me to infiltrate the school and gain and win everybody’s trust so we can achieve a foothold over the Earthlings and take over.”

“That’s right. Is everyone else on board?”

“Yeah, they get the idea.”

“Excellent,” he said. “I’ve already spoken to the other members and they are in agreement. By the way I am also sending you Mr. Wright to keep things on track and will report back to me.”

“So you really want to walk in Uncle Thomas’ footsteps?”

“Your uncle had a vision where our people would no longer be oppressed or stifled and now no longer will we be by the Terran majority or by the humans for that matter.”

“I’m all for equality even if I have to fight for it,” Jaden said smiling.

“That’s the idea. I know you will do me proud.”

By the time Jaden enrolled in school he was well under the wire for a year before any Terran student was permitted to join high school. He easily fell under the disguise of Christian Anderson, a regular Earth teenager. He became well equipped where unbeknownst to everyone else except for his father and Mr. Wright knew of his true identity. He shared his father’s vision seeing how his father wasn’t in love with the Terran leaders’ course of action once they all came to Earth. They wanted to create a better order.

Jaden made his way under the pier waiting and saw Morgan, Nicholas, and Tyler walking down the beach towards him.

“You’re late,” he said. S~ᴇaʀᴄh the Findɴovel.ɴet website on Gøøglᴇ to access chapters of novels early and in the highest quality.

“Sorry, we were busy,” Morgan said. “You called us here so what do you want.”

“Any updates on Tracer?”

“You saw how eager he was to join our group,” Nicholas said. “We will help him see our way is better. Though it will be more difficult the way he and Kyle are joined at the hip.”

“Not to worry,” Jaden replied. “The more time I spend with Kyle the more time he is separated from him. Dan would be a good ally.”

“Mr. Wright wants to see you as well,” Morgan answered.

“You mind if I interject something?” Tyler asked looking at them all.

“Have any of you questioned if what we are doing is right?”

“Would you rather be put down by the humans?” Morgan asked.

“No, but there has to be a better way than using a show of force.”

“It doesn’t matter,” Jaden replied. “It’s already been settled. My father is looking out for what is best for all of us and we’re helping to make that possible. This isn’t just for us alone but for all Terrans.”

“But isn’t your girlfriend Anna one of them?” Morgan asked.

“Already becoming soft?” Nicholas questioned.

“She is just a means to an end. Nobody knows I am a Terran. I had to find a way of blending in.”

“I wonder what her reaction will be once she finds out that you’ve been lying to her all this time about who you really are,” Nicholas said.

“I will cross that bridge when I come to it,” he said. “What’s important now is focusing on Dan and I will continue to keep Kyle distracted. I was hoping he could also be recruited but he likes the status quo too much.”

“Will have to find some way of breaking them up,” Morgan said.

“Dan definitely likes to use his powers out in the open,” Nicholas said.

“I’ve seen Kyle is more prone to not use,” Jaden said.

“Like that day at lunch Kyle had to do stop him in before he made that jock bleed even more for his nose,” Morgan explained. “Kyle stood by to prevent him from doing any more damage.”

“Why not give him an initiation?” Jaden replied. “Let him prove his loyalty to the team. Then eventually once he becomes part of the group and gets to know us more he will understand our point of view.”

“Hope you are right,” Morgan replied. “Otherwise all of our work will have been for nothing.”

“Just you all keep doing what you are doing. Better off you leave first just in case anyone sees us all together.”

“So what are we going to plan for him?” Nicholas asked, walking down the beach. “Any ideas?”

“Not yet. But we will think of something.”
