Mike sent Avery home and the two had lunch before beginning their research on the nominees for the Marshall’s Award.

In the afternoon, Mike knocked on Avery's bedroom door.

"Why aren't you sleeping?"

"I can't sleep." She turned to look at him. "You, too?"

Avery remained silent, trying to figure out what Angela could be doing to Elliot and failing.

She managed to survive in that basement until help came, and if Elliot was taken by Angela before that, he was definitely alive. But what experiment was running on Elliot, and would it win her the Marshall's Award?

"I need to see if there's anyone I know from the committee of the Marshall's Award." Avery could not wait any longer.

In the evening, he returned with the list of people that were included in the Marshall’s Award committee and handed it to Avery.

Avery beamed when she spotted a certain name on the list.

"Do you know someone here?" Mike asked. "Most of them are just old professors."
