Meanwhile, after spending three days in the hospital, Leah felt that she had recovered and wished to be discharged. She had told George about it the night before, and he came to visit first thing the next morning. However, he was not alone. He had brought a strange man with him.

Leah stared at the man in surprise but managed to smile politely. "George, is this your... brother?"

"No," he said, "This is the bodyguard I hired for you. He will keep you safe from now on."
