He nodded and we went to the dance floor. I put my hands on his shoulders as he went to my waist. We swayed softly to the music. The world faded and it was just us two. I was lost in his gaze. I smiled, knowing what I needed to do.
Everything was clear. I needed to end this with David and be with Ellis. I couldn’t deny my feelings any longer.
He made his mistakes, but he paid for them and is doing right by me. I leaned in closer to him, and I felt his lips on my forehead, they lingered, and a shiver went down my back.
