Chapter 82
The next morning:
Logan couldn’t get a blink last night until in the early morning when he slept for an hour. As he sat up and glanced at Hope, he found a frown on her forehead along with a few hair strands resting on her cheek.
Gently, Logan brushed them and stared at her for a while. Because he didn’t eat, Hope didn’t either take her supper. He covered her with a blanket and leaned down to k*ss her, but something stopped him.
Getting off the bed, Logan went for a run. He wanted to empty his mind. While running, he transformed into a Lycan Beast having mesmerizing white fur and shiny red cycs. He kept running through the woods and stopped only reaching at a giant cliff.
The strong winds cascaded the hair of his fur to one side, making the Lycan Beast look mighty. Logan wanted his mate to be beside him, but he wasn’t either ready to accept Hope after what happened yesterday.
He witnessed the sunrise and soon, returned to the mansion in his human form. Getting back to the room, he found Hope was already awake.
“Did you go for a run?” Hope asked.
Logan didn’t say anything, took out a towel from the cupboard and went to the washroom. Tears formed in Hope’s eyes, but she didn’t give up. It was her fault and she needed to rectify her mistake ASAP.
Hope made the bed and went to the other washroom. She was quick in freshening up and headed to the kitchen, where Camila was already present with two maids.
“Hope, are you fine?” Camila asked with a worried glance.
“Yes, I am. I will cook the breakfast,” Hope told her.
“Sure,” Camila allowed her and asked the two maids to help her. But Hope refused for it and started the preparation.
“How is Master Logan? Did you two end the fight?” Camila inquired.
Hope shook her head. “He isn’t talking to me,” she answered. “I made a huge mistake, Aunt. But I’m ready to rectify it. His anger on me is genuine because he loves me,” she said with a tiny smile on her l*ps.
Camila was astonished to see optimistic side that Hope carried. “That’s good. Master Logan will not stay upset with you for long. He is soft at heart,” Camila said.

Chapter $2
Hope nodded at her and prepared the favorite dishes of Logan for breakfast. As she set the table, Camila told her she would bring Logan to the dining hall.
However, Logan came there by himself. Camila and the other servants greeted hims Hope was eager to serve him the food as soon as he would sit on the chair.
“Today, Hope has made the breakfast. Please sit and have your meals. You both didn’t eat even at last night,” Camila said with a complaining gaze at Logan.
I’m leaving. I have an urgent meeting and then, I’ll fly out of the city for a few days,” Logan informed Camila.
The tiny smile from Hope’s face disappeared to hear that. She asked him where he would go, but he didn’t answer her.
“Master, but have your breakfast. At least eat the pie, Camila insisted. “Also, where is Master Logan going? He should take his wife too,” she asserted.
“It’s a business meeting. I had to delay it yesterday because of someone,” Logan replied and coldly glance at Hope.
“I am sorry, Logan,” Hope said. “Have your meals. You have not eaten since last night. How will you work if you don’t get enough energy?” Hope quickly prepared a plate for him and walked to him. “As aunt said, at least, have the pie.” She moved it toward his mouth when he yanked her hand off.
The plate fell off Hope’s hand along with the the contents on it.
“Master!” Camila raised her voice at him while Hope looked at the floor, which was now covered with the broken plate and food.
“I don’t want to eat anything you make. It makes me annoyed,” Logan angrily said, his pupils changed color.
Hope got on her knees and picked up the plate. From the tears, her vision was blurred and she ended up cutting her finger. “Ahh,” she let out a low scream and pulled it back while with the other hand she wiped her tears.
Logan, who had pivoted on his shoes, heard her scream and even felt the pain she got. He was quick to pull her up and check her finger. “Can’t you be careful?” Logan scolded her and quickly sucked the blood from her finger.
Hope peered at him without blinking for a second. When Logan realized what he did, he moved away his l*ps from her finger and lowered her hand.
She ended up hugging him tightly, forgetting who were around them. “Forgive me. You and I both are in pain. Please,” she said. Her hand clutched his blazer tightly as if she

was holding for her dear life.
Camila decided to speak up
even if Login would get angry at her or fire her.
“Master, this isn’t a right way to treat your wife. Everyone makes mistakes. So, did Hope. You should not be cruel to the person, who is putting so much effort to please you,” Camila pronounced and walked to them. She instructed the maids to clean the floor and pulled away Hope from Logan.
“I am leaving. It’s already late,” Logan murmured.
“Master, do you really think this low for your wife? Can’t you forgive her for whatever mistake she has made? You vowed to protect her and now, you are hurting her,” Camila said with a stern tone. She had always been gentle toward Logan, but whatever he did a moment ago, was wrong.
Hope asked Camila not to say anything to Logan. It was her fault to lie to him and not trust him. She was now trembling in fear, thinking Logan would kick her out of his life.
“She will make another mistake again. Hope was going to die yesterday, Logan finally spoke up. The emotions, which he had buried in him since last night, suddenly resurfaced.
“I believed in love once again. I decided to give myself a chance. But what did it bring me?” Logan snickered and gazed at Hope. “She lied on my face and left to a place, where anything could have happened to her. How many times shall I forgive her? I am trying to be a good husband, then why can’t trust me? Why she has to give me the same or even more intense pain?” Logan’s emotions burst out.
Camila walked to him and embraced him. She caressed his back while he did nothing. “But she is safe. That’s what matters, Master. You don’t need to tell yourself that she would have died only. Hope has come out of the danger,” she said in a low voice. Her touch was like a mother for Logan and he shut his eyes close. He felt soothing in her
arms.
On the other hand, Hope was deeply affected by what she did to Logan mentally.
“Master, do your meetings from the home. I’ll talk to Paul,” Camila said.
Logan refuted since he couldn’t be unprofessional by letting his personal matter affect his working life. As he pulled away from Camila, he said, “I will have the breakfast. Then, I’ll leave.”
Hope was happy to hear that, but she thought she should stay away from Logan. Camila took Logan to the table and pulled out a chair for him. He sat down and gazed at Hope.
“Have a seat. Let’s eat together. You won’t be seeing me until August 1,” Logan said. His

Camila asked Hope to make a haste and
take her seat. She served them the breakfast
and silently walked away from the dining hall, leaving two alone.
Logan found the meals delicious as usual. “The meals are delicious,” he said.
“Thank you. Forgive me,” Hope again apologized.
“I will forgive you if you think of your life, my life before taking any step,” Logan stated.
“I won’t act naively anymore,” Hope replied.
“Hmm.”
They soon finished their breakfast. Logan suggested her to rest at home as he would have outside meetings only.
“I’ve work at the office, Hope stated. “I feel better while working,” she added.
“Alright. Then, let’s go together,” Logan said with a smile.
