Chapter 12: Drooling!

The doorbell rang while Gabrielle arranged the plates and utensils inside the large tray. She soon opened the door, finding a female hotel staff holding Kyle's suit.

"Mr. Wright's attire for today," said a woman in her late twenties. She smiled while extending the garment to Gabrielle and said, "So you must be the new penthouse attendant. I'm surprised that you are a female."

Gabrielle did not know what to think of that. She let out a puzzled expression and answered, "Um. I guess I must be lucky?"

Grabbing the suit, she said, "Do you mind taking out the dishes?"

"Sure... I'm Alex, by the way. I'm the front office supervisor on the day shift. It's nice to meet you, Miss Taylor," the lady spoke.

Gabrielle was shocked, to say the least. She wondered how the person knew her name, but Alex explained before she could ask, "You are an instant celebrity, having to live with Mr. Wright... You see, the boss never lets a girl get close to him except for his family... At least... not that I know of."

"How come you brought up his suit?" Gabrielle asked. Alex was a woman and technically, it meant Kyle was okay with a person of the opposite sex to work with him.

"Well, it's because you are here to receive it," answered Alex. "If he did not have you here, he would specifically ask for a male attendant to bring his clothes."

Alex just went along with Gabrielle, picking up the tray of dishes from the kitchen, and left the penthouse, leaving Gabrielle confused.

After seeing the front office supervisor shut the door to the penthouse, Gabrielle mumbled, "He seems fine around me." She shrugged while still holding on to his suit and said, "Oh, well."

At first, she did not get an answer. She repeated her words, and following her third attempt, she finally heard his voice.

"Lay it on my bed, Gaby!" Kyle answered, his voice seemingly in a distance. "I'm in the shower!"

"Ah, well. That explains it," she said under her breath before announcing, "I'm coming in!"

The last thing she wanted was to enter his room and seeing him naked!

Gabrielle cautiously peeped inside the master bedroom before fully walking in. She laid the suit on the bed, making sure it did not get wrinkled in any way.

Only then did she get a chance to scan Kyle's spacious and luxurious bedroom. As her eyes roamed the space, her mouth spelled, 'Wow.'

She thought her room was extra special, but Kyle's was probably a presidential suite! It was practically about two hundred square feet in area, with a European king bed, a sitting area, and the biggest closet she had ever seen!

"Is that a walk-in closet?" She asked herself, tilting her head in the direction of what implied to her was another room. Gabrielle was slowly making her way to the same path when she heard a man's voice! "Yes, that's a walk-in closet."

She promptly turned, completely startled, but just when she thought Kyle's voice was enough to make her heart beat faster, she saw the man, half-naked, with only a towel wrapped around his waist! Gabrielle discovered a now clean shaved Kyle Wright. His hair was still wet and droplets of water came down his face and torso! He did not even bother to fully dry himself before getting out of the shower! Her jaws dropped! And her eyes unwittingly looked down to Kyle's manly chest and abs! 'Oh, my gawd! H-E-L-L-O!'

Clearly, she was drooling at him!

After realizing what she had done, Gabrielle immediately covered her mouth, then her entire face, utterly ashamed for purposely looking at Kyle's body! "I'm sorry. I'm sorry, Mr. Wright. I did not mean to - " "Uh. No. I'm sorry," answered Kyle. "I should have warned you that I came out from the shower. I'm sorry to alarm you."

Gabrielle's face turned crimson red, and even her ears blushed at the thought of having drooled over her boss. She walked sideways, slowly stepping away from Kyle's line of sight, and said, “I – I better go now, Mr. Wright."

"It's Kyle," he reminded in his manly tone.

"Right! Kyle. I - I better go now and let you change. You - you have very important things to do and I better leave you to what - whatever it is you needed to do," she muttered carelessly, stuttering as she said her words.

"The door is to your left," Kyle directed, seeing her still unwilling to put down her hands.

"Right!" Finally, she pulled her hands down and said, "I suppose, I need a shower myself. Excuse me... Kyle."

After leaving Kyle behind, Gabrielle rushed to her room and settled her emotions behind her door.

She was taking heavy breaths while putting a hand on her chest.

Sure, Gabrielle had seen Warren half-naked before and the same could be said with other men, like her co-workers or classmates during a beach or pool outing, but never had she seen someone so beautiful as Kyle Wright... at least, to her own perspective.

"Can I handle this?" She asked, after swallowing her own spew. "To think... this is just day one! What will happen to day two? Day three? And an entire year?!"

"Uggh! This man will definitely give me a heart attack!" She declared before finally making her way to the bathroom. Gabrielle determined she needed the take a very, very cold shower.

While Gabrielle was cooling herself down, Kyle was in his room, smirking as he changed into his suit.

Earlier, seeing Gabrielle's expression and how she checked him out, he felt very accomplished. He also thought her innocence was rather cute.

After putting on his coat, he concluded, "I should get her to bring my suit more often."

He then grabbed his phone and called his assistant, Mark. He asked, "Is everything set for tonight's dinner, Mark?"
