Chapter 81 

“Is it over?” Nydia asked, her tone calm and cold. 

The image of that night flashed through Cade’s mind, and his face turned ashen. “What’s up?” 

Nydia ignored his indifference and impatience and switched the phone to her other hand. Her gaze fell on the place where Josephine had bitten her. The wound was red, itchy, and painful, a sign of healing. 

Ill go to the office at ten tomorrow morning to talk to you about the divorce. I hope you’ll be there then.” With that, she hung up. 

The voice on the other end of the line went dead, and Cade suddenly frowned. He turned to look at the wilderness outside the windows. He tightened his grip on the phone, and the veins on the back of his hand were visible. 

The next day, at the appointed time, Nydia arrived at Jackson Group 

She wore light makeup and a fluffy long dress with the jacket she wore when she first arrived at the Jackson family. Her curly brown hair was gently coiled. A few strands were blown in front of her eyes and gently caressed her forehead. She raised her hand and tucked them behind her ear. 

Nydia’s heart was filled with emotions as she looked at the familiar yet strange things inside. 

In two months, so many things had happened. It had only been half a month since Josephine stood here arrogantly and provoked her. In the blink of an eye, everything had changed. 

She did not feel sad for Josephine because Josephine had done all kinds of evil things. She only sighed when she realized life was fragile and insignificant. Therefore, she could not waste any more time. She had to live the rest of her life with dignity. 

From the lobby to the CEO’s office building, remarks of mockery and ridicule could be heard. Nydia turned a deaf car to them. 

Lance and other people from Sharp Group were waiting at the elevator. When they saw her, they immediately surrounded her. 

Nydia smiled calmly at them. I’m fine. Don’t worry.” 

“Nydia, what do we need to do? Tell us,” Lance said solemnly, looking like he was about to fight. 

Nydia looked at them and said apologetically, “There might be very tough times ahead. Will you guys forgive me?” 

Hearing this, everyone looked happy. 

“Can there be anything more suffering than being looked down upon here? I’ve endured for five years and have long had enough. Miss Sharp, please take us away.” 

“Exactly, we’ll start all over again!” 

Nydia looked at the group of people in front of her who were almost 50 years old. If even they had the courage to start from scratch, what was there for her to be afraid of? 

“Good!” She nodded firmly and suddenly realized that the shackles that trapped her and made her suffer were actually imposed on her by herself. No one forced her to do that.

Chapter 1 

Who said that Sharp Group could not survive without the Jackson family? Why did she had to be an accessory to Cade and be ordered around and abandoned at will? Today, she was going to fight for a bright future. 

Cade was checking documents when Nydia pushed open the door and walked in. He looked up at her and said coldly, “You should knock on the door before entering my office.” 

“I’m sorry. I’m in a hurry,” she said apologetically, but there was a calm smile on her lips. She was not embarrassed at all. 

Cade snorted coldly and lowered his head again. 

He didn’t want to say anything more to her. Neither did she. 

Nydia took out a document from her bag and placed it in front of him. “Mr. Jackson, sign this.” 

Cade’s hand paused. From the corner of his eye, he saw the words “Divorce Agreement” on the cover of the document. It didn’t look like a farce. 

His face darkened in an instant. 

Nydia did not want to see his cold face anymore. After watching it for five years, she was tired of it. She urged, “My requests are all written in it. You’re a straightforward person, right. Mr. Jackson? I hope we can part on good terms.” 

“Request?” Cade snorted. He wanted to see what kind of request she had. He put down his pen and leaned back in his chair. He took the document and casually read it a few times. When he saw the reason for the divorce, his eyes narrowed. 

It read. “Our five years of marriage is illusory. We have no feelings for each other from the beginning to the end. It would be a waste of our lives to keep being together. Therefore, we have decided to end our relationship and return our free lives to each other. 

Cade pondered over these words, the tip of his tongue making a clicking sound. After a while, he let out a cold snort. He maintained his sitting position and looked at her coldly. “Nydia, did I sleep with you for nothing? Is it just illusory?” 

Nydia felt a little uncomfortable under his gaze. In fact, this sentence should be understood based on the following one. To her, a marriage without feelings was unreal. 

However, she couldn’t understand why he had to be so angry because of several words. They were about to get a divorce. It did not matter what reason it was. The right thing to do was to be quick. 

“Let’s not dwell on this, Mr. Jackson.” Nydia said patiently, “In any case, it’s a fact that we don’t have feelings for each other. No matter what you say, it remains the truth.” 

How many times has she mentioned that we have no feelings for each other?‘ Cade couldn’t help but ask himself. Has she been too much pampered by me to show me some respect?” 

Nydia looked at Cade’s eyes that were filled with ruthlessness. She subconsciously wanted to retreat. However, she kept reminding herself that she could not show weakness in front of him. This was her last chance. 

She pretended to be calm and met his gaze fearlessly. “Mr. Jackson, I know that your time is precious, so… 

Before Nydia could finish his sentence, a strong gust of wind blew past. She felt her vision go dark. Then, she was pushed onto the sofa by a strong force. 

Chapter 81 

Cade pounced on her and grabbed her neck. His eyes were malicious and cold. “You’re courting death again, huh?” he said as he tightened his grip. 

The lack of oxygen caused Nydia’s face and the whites of her eyes to be bloodshot. However, she raised her chin high, showing no sign of backing down. “Cade, strangle me if you have the guts. If you don’t strangle me to death today, I’ll divorce you!” 

Today, she would either die or get a divorce. She had no choice, and nor did she want to give herself a choice. 

For the first time, Cade sense the determination in Nydia’s eyes. It looked so reckless, so crazy, and so stubborn. He was so angry that he really wanted to strangle her to death. He had to make her remember the consequences of angering him. However, she would rather die than submit to him. 

He watched as her breathing gradually weakened. Her face turned from red to blue, and her eyes lost focus. Her body lost its support and slid down to the floor. 

Cade suddenly realized something. 

“Fuck!” he cursed angrily and suddenly let

“Nydia!” He shook her shoulder anxiously, trying to wake her up. However, she did not make a sound. Her lips. were slightly parted, and her breathing was so weak that he could barely hear her. 

Cade was extremely irritable. He quickly pulled her into his arms, lowered his head, and kissed her. He fed her oxygen, one mouthful at a time. 

After a long period of time, Nydia coughed a few times and slowly woke up, 

Cade heaved a sigh of relief as he saw her glaring at him. He sneered. “What do you want this time? Just say it. Stop playing tricks.”
