Chapter 24: Wolves take over

Kendra's POV

I slowly stretch out my tired limbs as I wake up. I feel a small body pressed against me and I turn around to find Noah. His small hands were across my stomach and his head was on my chest.

I run my fingers through his hair and he slowly starts to wake up.

"Fify." He says as he yawns and rubs his eyes. He sit up and looks at me. A frown forms on his face. "Your eyes are gold?" He says in a confused tone.

"My name is Kendra, I am your sisters wolf." I say in a soft tone.

"But fify isn't a werewolf." He says and looks even more confused.

"No, she is a lucan. I am one of the first ever shifters. It is a very long story and I don’t think you will understand it, but all you need to know is that, I would never ever hurt you bilbo. You are my brother as well and I will always protect you, just like Sophia does. Okay?"

"Okay Kendra, but when will Sophia be back?" He asks.

"I am afraid she won't be back for a little while. After everything she went through, she needs a little bit of time, but she loves you so much. She just needs to rest, but don't worry I'll be here the entire time." I say in a soothing tone and place a small kiss on his fore head.

"Okay, just tell her to get better soon. I really miss her, I miss my sister.” He says and his eyes get a little foggy. A pung of hurt formed in my heart for the little boy.

"She misses you so much too. Just give her a little time." I say to him and he nods. I give him a hug and he gives me a hug back.

"If I remember correctly you love pancakes?" I ask and he nods again.

"Yes! Please!" He yells and the fogginess disappear from his eyes and a smile takes its place. He grabs my hands and drags me of the bed and down the stairs into the kitchen.

"Strawberry pancakes or chocolate pancakes?" I ask as I turn on the stove.

He scratches his head and looks as if he is making the toughest choice ever.

"Both!" He says with a full teeth smile and I laugh at his cuteness.

"Then let's start.”

Grayson's POV

I slowly start to wake up and I grown out in frustration. I slept terribly. My wolf was up all night, telling me to go to his mate. The mate bond grew stronger, since Ryder and Ryker have communicated with Kendra and since we marked her our wolves could communicate through links. Williams walks out of the bathroom and falls onto the bed.

"Didn't get much sleep?" I ask with a tired voice. He just growns.

“Give me control. I want to talk to mate.’

Ryker growls.

“Fine, but then afterwards you have to stop with the fucking howls and growls!" I snap at him. 'Fine.'he says and I slowly move to the back of my mind as he takes over my body. I turn to William and I see his eyes are black.

"Giving your wolf control as well?" I ask him through the mind link.

"Its the only way to get him to shut up.” He says back before closing the link.

Rykers POV

Ryder and I move down the stairs and into the kitchen, following our mates sweet sent. When we entire the kitchen she stiffens and then relaxes. She turns around and flashes a beautiful smile. She stops washing the dishes before she runs around the counter and jumps into my arms. I bury my nose in the crock of her neck and inhale her amazing sent. I put her down before she moves to Ryder. He picks her up and spins her around as he hugs her. A cute giggle leaves her as Ryder rubs his nose on his mark.

"How gorgeous my mark looks on you.” He says in a rough voice.

"1 love it, just as much.” She says as her cheeks become a shade pinker.

"Were is the little one?” I ask and move to go sit down on one of the bar stools.

"He has school. Layla and Sam just took him , before you came. " she says and moves back to the dishes. Ryder moves next to me and sit on the other bar stool.

"Did they say anything about you still being in control?" Ryder ask. She empty out the sink and moves towards us.

"No, they were just really glad to meet me and I told them how thankful I was for their friendship with Sofia.” She finishes and sit on my lap. I turn side ways so that I am facing Ryder and the I turn her so that her back is against the table and she is sitting side ways on my lap. She reaches out with her one hand and takes Ryder's hand.

"How die you get your humans to give you control?" She asks as Ryder kisses her hand.

"We complained a lot." I say and give her a devilish smile and she let's out a heart melting laugh. "How is Sophia?” I ask. Eventhough I love spending time with Kendra, I still miss Sophia. I never wanted our humans to reject her.

"She is sad and scared. She didn't feel the rejection as much, but now since I have arrived she feels the pain completely. She is also angry at your humans for sleeping with that other girl and not wanting her,because she was just a human. She is also scared of not being just a human anymore and she feels lost." Kendra says with sympathy in her eyes. My heart breaks for Sophia pain.

"We never wanted our humans to reject her, even before we knew you were here. But I know you will help her get through the pain ." Ryder says to her and she gives him a small smile.

"She is a strong girl, she just needs time." Kendra says with hope.

"You will just have to get your humans in line.” She says and I knew from her tone that she was also mad at them.

"They care for her, they are just showing it in the most stupidest ways. They say and I roll my eyes. The conversation stopped their and we just enjoyed being in each other presents.

One day our humans will be like this. They just need to get their heads on straight.
