I walk into the pack house with a frown on my face. Just a little rustle in the bushes and he has to leave me to warn guards.

"Hello Evangeline."

To look to the side and see Marina tidying up the living room. "Hi," I say lowly.

"How are you feeling?"

"It was okay, but Sebastian ditched me as usual." I mutter and crash onto the couch, rubbing my belly. "I just want to spend time with him but it only lasts a few minutes, unless he's getting me pregnant, you'd think since he has the time for that he'd have time for other things too."

Marina gives me a weird look. "Maybe you should ask other Luna's for advice, only they would know what it's like."

"That's a good idea." I think about it and wonder if Alpha Knowles has found his Luna, and maybe I could talk to her. It would be nice to have a friend that knows what it's like. "Thanks."

"I'm glad I could help." She smiles and continues on.

I lay on the couch for a few minutes just drawing circles on my belly, possibly amusing my little girl. I wonder what's it's like in there, obviously I don't remember.

Time seems to fly by and I glance to the clock to see that is almost night. Where is Sebastian? I hope he's not getting into trouble with what happened in the woods. "Promise you won't take after your father, always leaving me, but you'll stay with me." I tell my baby and look up at the ceiling.

"Evangeline, dinner is ready!" Marina calls from the kitchen.

It takes me a couple try's until I sit up and get off the couch. "Any word from Sebastian?" I ask as I walk into the kitchen.

"Not yet, but I'm sure he'll be back soon."

"Of course." I mumble to myself and sit at the table.

I eat quietly as Marina waits for me to finish. When I do she kindly cleans up and I tell her I'm going to take a shower. She offers to stay instead of going home, since Sebastian is not home yet, but I let her go. It's weird not having Henry here and with Sebastian always gone lately the pack house has become quite lonely.

I can't stop worrying about Henry, mostly because I don't trust Kandy.

Before I get in the shower I use the restroom, but when I wipe is see a bit of blood on the toilet paper. Immediately I begin to worry, so I wipe again, and this time there is even more blood.

This can't be right.

Suddenly I feel my lower abdomen begin to cramp and tighten.

Quickly I shove toilet paper in my underwear before hurrying downstairs and into Sebastian's office. I grab the phone off of his desk and dial his phone number, something I've memorized since the prank. I hold the phone up to my ear with my heart racing in my chest.

"Hello?" It's not Sebastian.

"Who is this? Where's Sebastian?"

"The Alpha is out by the borders right now, would you like to leave a message?"

More cramps hit me and I clench my teeth. "I need him, this is the Luna- please just tell him it's an emergency."

"Of course Luna, I'll send someone out to get him right away." The person hangs up and I set the phone down on the counter.

The blood has seeped through the toilet paper and is now staining my clothes.

I grab the phone again and look in the calling history until I come up to Fiona's number. I press call and wait again for an answer. "Please answer, please answer." I mutter and lean against the counter.

"Hello?"

Andrew.

"Andrew where are you? Where's Fiona?" I ask.

"Fiona is in the shower and we're at home, but I was just out at the borders with Sebastian-"

"Andrew I'm bleeding, I need to go to the doctor." I cut him off and breath heavy. "I need to go now and Sebastian's not here, I need you to take me."

"You're bleeding- Okay I'll be right over." With that he hangs up and I put the phone down.

Tears slide down my face from the fear of my child's safety, but I manage to make my way to the front door. By the time I open it up Andrew is getting out of the car, hurrying towards me. Without saying anything he picks me up and carries me to the car. He opens the back door and places me in carefully before shutting it and getting in himself. In the matter of seconds we're moving.

"Do you know what's wrong?" He asks with his eyes on the road as he drives fast.

"No, I don't know what's happening." I say and lay down on the back seats. "I'm due in a month, I don't know why I'm bleeding."

"Don't worry, we'll be there any minute."

Tears continue to fall down my cheeks and I grip onto the headrest of one of the seats. "I'm scared." I admit.

"I know, don't worry, when we get there and your with the Doctor I'll call Sebastian right away."

I nod.

The drive seems to last forever, taking hours for us to arrive, but when Andrew finally pulls into the parking lot I wipe the thin layer of sweat from my face.

He carries me to the doors and the ladies behind the desk stand up, probably telling it's urgent by the blood.

"Doctor Swanson!" One of them yells and she comes jogging down the hallway without her white coat, ready to go home.

She sees me and immediately hurries over. "Evangeline?"

"I'm bleeding." I explain to her and she tells Andrew to carry me into one of the rooms, similar to the one that I was placed in after I hit my head.

Once he sets me down he leaves to call Sebastian like he said.

"Evangeline, you're in labor, your water broke." Doctor Swanson says and I feel as if I'm about to faint.

"No." I say. "No it's too early, I'm not in labor it's something else."

She glances up at me and tells me to change into the blue gown, so I do.

"Evangeline you're in labor." She tells me again as I sit back down.

"I'm not, just look."

She examines the situation. "You're about two centimeters dilated."

"No, I'm not in labor!" I yell at her, confused. "I still have a month, you said that."

"The baby is premature, I can give you epidural once you reach five centimeters-" Sᴇaʀ*ᴄh the (F)indNƟvᴇl.ɴet website on Gøøglᴇ to access chapters of novels early and in the highest quality.

"Please stop talking like that!" I yell again with sweat beading on my forehead. "I can't do this, not now."

"Where is the Alpha?" She asks me and I throw my head back.

"Probably chasing rouges! Out doing his damn job instead of being with me!"

"Is he on his way?"

My heart races as more cramps tug in me. "I don't know, A-Andrew said he was calling him." I try to look at her but my belly blocks part of the view. "I can't do this right now, I'm not ready so just stop the labor."

"You're far enough with the pregnancy to deliver, there's no postponing this okay?"

"No, that's not okay!" I shout at her again. "I don't want to give birth!"

"You wanted to push, yes?" She ignores my refusal.

"I swear if I wasn't in labor I would kick your ass!"

She stands up. "Perfect, so you understand you're in labor, it may take a couple hours for you to be dilated enough to begin pushing. Epidural, if you want it, I can give you it okay?"

I nod and take deep breathes. "Don't leave, at least until Sebastian gets here."

"I'll be right here okay?"

I nod again. "I don't think I can do this, I can't push."

"Yes you can, you're a strong woman Evangeline. Just imagine your baby in your arms, she wants to be with you, it's why she's coming early." She coos at me and I continue with the deep breaths.

"She needs me?" I mumble.

"Of course she needs you, you're her mother."
