Chapter 11.

June's P.O.V.

I felt the bed shake as Raeve through himself on the bed.

"Morning beautiful." He said as he placed a kiss on my forehead.

"Morning." I looked at him. He was already dressed and looked like he was just returning from somewhere.

"Shit! did I sleep in?" I asked him as I jolted up from bed.

"Nope, it's only 7 or so roughly. I just got back from having breakfast with Bowdie." He said. "She sends lots of love..as per usual."

"No fair...I said...all you have to do is blip over there and you can see her no problem. Did you see my dad?"

"Of course! I'm not a total prude." He grinned at me. "Don't worry, he still doesn't really know what happened. He knows your on bed rest from over exhaustion, but other then that, he seems to be doing well."

I laid back down. "Did you send my regards to them?"

"Yes babe...I gave them a good old squeeze.......and then Bowdie beat the shit out of me."

"Ahahah...that a girl." I slowly got up from bed and headed towards the bathroom and turned on the shower.

I brushed my teeth before heading into the shower, and let the hot water work the stiffness out of my body. It's been over 2 weeks now since my brush with death, and I was feeling more and more like my old self. I no longer required medication for the headaches, as they seemed to go away on there own. My body was feeling more refreshed, and the fatigue, was starting to set in more towards the end of the day. Today Sarah and a reconnaissance group were heading off today, and I wanted to make sure I saw her off.

The curtain moved to the side and I watched as Raeve hopped in with me. It had been awhile since I saw those dog tags dangle on his bare chest. I turned around and grabbed them, and pulled him closer to me so that our bodies could touch. I ran my finger across the name that was engraved on them.

Denver...

I looked up to him. He was watching my finger trace the engraving.

"Will you tell me about them?" I asked.

He didn't respond right away, and took my hand and placed my palm to his lips, then up to his cheek.

"One day." He said.

He spoke it softly, which felt as if a painful memory was playing in his head. I reached up and planted my lips on his, and felt his hands make there way down my back. We hadn't really been in each others arms for the past 2 weeks, so this felt like a small victory on our part.

•~ Morning Juniper!•~ I quickly pulled away from Raeve's lips as Sarah's voice filled my head.

•~ Morning. •~

Raeve just looked at me. I mouthed Sarah while tapping the side of my head. It must have looked weird while I spoke to her in silence.

•~ Just letting you know we are almost done packing up the truck, and will be leaving within the hour•~ She said.

•~ Okay, I'll be down in a bit, just getting showered•~

•~ K, see you soon......tell Raeve I said morning... have fun•~

I grinned but didn't reply.

"What was that all about?" He asked.

"Sarah's leaving within the hour, and I need to get ready to send her off." I told him.

I quickly lathered up and rinsed the suds off my body. Raeve just stood and watched as I made my way out. I wrapped myself in a towel and walked towards the shelving that held our clothes.

I then heard the curtain rip open from the shower and Raeve quickly walked up behind me almost slamming his body against my back. He wrapped his arms around me and whispered in my ear.

"I'm not ready to let you go yet." He said and turned my head around and pressed his mouth to mine.

I could feel the warmth radiate off his body as he picked me up and laid me out on the bed. His body laying between my legs, and his chest to mine, I let his hands roam the length of my body, as our mouths moved together.

He pressed his body against mine and slowly left a trail of kisses down my stomach before he started making his way between my thighs. The sensation left me in shambles. My breathing becoming more erratic and I could feel a build up of energy in the pit of my stomach. I had my eyes closed trying to fight the urge, but as I opened my eyes, I could feel the glow starting to swirl.

"Raeve!" Oh god.

He quickly came up to me holding my head in his hands.

"Just let it go into me June." He whispered before putting his lips to mine again.

I kissed him with such passion, and I could almost feel my energy passing through my body to his. He then pulled up my one thigh and slipped himself inside me. Each movement bringing me closer and closer to release. The build up was euphoric, and intense, and although the surge of energy seemed to die down, my eyes still gave off a glow.

The moans that left my mouth only encouraged him more, and he started moving his body faster against mine. I could barely speak his name, as I felt the sudden climax hit me. I let out a scream before Raeve quickly covered my mouth to silence it. He kept moving till I felt him reach a climax, and he too let out a moan that was music to my ears.

The glow in my eyes dimmed down as our panting bodies lay their naked on the bed. After I was able to catch my breath I looked to him.

"How did you do that?" I asked softly.

"Do what?"

"How did you know my energy would flow into you like that? I was curious.

He grabbed my hand in his and intertwined his fingers with mine.

"Back in your unit. That night in the shower when we....he turned to me...you know.. a smile now on his face...I felt your energy flow through me then."

"Hmm....you never told me that before. What does it feel like?"

"It feels........like a part of you is going into me. Almost warm and it feels powerful...I guess you could say. Or maybe it's because.... a part of me was going into you. Hmmm?"

I smacked his chest before letting out a chuckle.

"Your such a loser!" I said as I got up and started getting dressed. He leaned up onto his elbows to watch me.

"Really! Cus after what just happened I'm feeling like a winner!" He said cocky and confident.

"Ahahahah I love you." I jumped to better pull up my jeans and did up my buttons before I realised what I had just said.

I quickly turned around to see him directly in front of me, cupping my face and bringing his lips to mine once more. That was the first time I spoke those words to him. I suddenly wished I had said them sooner.

He slowly pulled away from me and gazed into my eyes.

"I love you too." He said before planting one more kiss.

"Now get going before Sarah stomps her way up here." He smiled and gave me a pat on the butt as I walked towards my boots.

"Okay, I'll see ya in a bit. In the mean time...perhaps you should hop back in the shower...the water is still running." I told him.

"Oh shhhit!" He quickly shot back over to the bathroom and I watched as he climbed in.

"Jesus, it's fucking cold!" He yelled. I shook my head as I left the room.

I made my way out the busy walkways, and started heading towards the front of the mall.

"Good morning June." I looked over to see Kipksy and Anja.

"Good morning Kipsky.....good morning Anja." I looked to them both. We seemed to all be walking in the same direction.

"Morning June." Replied Anja.

It's been months since we rescued her from the Capital, and she was looking absolutley radiant. Her fiery red hair graced her pale complexion, and since being with us, her over all weight improved as well.

I noticed Kipsky was dressed differently then usual. He was always in gear, but today he was wearing civilian clothes.

"Did I miss something?" I gave him a look.

"What do you mean?" He replied confused.

"The way your dressed.....I'd almost mistake you for someone normal." I said cheekily.

"Ahahaha I'll take that as a compliment."

"Your not going soft on us now are you Kipsky? Is there a skirt under there that I should look for aswell?" I nudged him with my arm.

Anja let out a little laugh before Kipsky let a chuckle escape him aswell.

We reached the front where I saw the pick up truck, being filled with the last bit of provisions before they took off. Sarah and Rowen were standing off to the side talking and I saw two others strapping down the equipment in the back. That's when I saw Kipsky giving Anja a farewell kiss.

"Wait.....your going?" I asked.

He sighed. "Jays orders. He wants someone who's done these runs before." He pulled me to the side and spoke softly. "You look after my Anja....okay?"

The look in his eyes told me he dreaded going, but this needed to be done. He was soft at heart but intimidating by other means. We had gotten close during our months of hitting the compounds. He felt like an uncle to me.

I looked over to her. She was fighting the tears, but kept them from falling down her cheeks.

I nodded. "I'll watch over her. Do you trust me?" I asked him.

"Yes." He picked me up and gave me a big squeeze before giving his Anja one final embrace. I walked over to Sarah. Rowen gave me a nod and let the two of us say our goodbyes.

"You'll be alright?" I asked. "Any sign of trouble you turn right back around. I don't need to be worrying about you the whole time, so ju-"

"June..." She cut me off. "We'll be ok. Don't worry. It's only for a couple weeks. We will be back before you know it." She gave me a re assuring smile.

"I really need to stop underestimating you don't I?" I grinned.

She gave me a hug and slowly made her way to the back seat of the truck, taking her place beside Rowen. Kipsky sat in the front with 2 others, and then they were off.

I watched as the vehicle made it's way down the road before catching Anja wiping away the tears. I went to her and I rubbed her back.

"Com'on Anja, let's go get some tea." I walked her back to the mall, and tried to comfort her the best I could.

She had Kipsky to herself for weeks, so seeing him off again on a mission toy'd with her fragile state.

Kipsky's words came to mind, and I felt the words resonate within me. The words that helped me fall into a slumber, while he carried me in his arms.

"I got you."
