Chapter 23.

I had been staring at him for 20 minutes, when I finally got the courage to say my final goodbyes. I wasn't sure if this would be the last time I saw his face, for what I had to do was risky in itself.

I picked up my bag and took one final look around the room and took one last glance at Raeve. Then I set off. I made my way through the empty isles, through the main lobby and past the food court for the last time and made my way outside.

The nights were starting to get cooler, and as I took a deep breath my exhale created a cloud. I turned around to look at base camp one last time before I took off.

I started walking, and was about 1 minute into my journey when I heard a voice behind me.

"And where do you think your going?" I turned around to see Kipsky.

"Kipsky..I"

He held his hand up to silence me. "You don't need to explain yourself to me June. I know exactly where your going." He was smoking a cigarette, and took a long drag before speaking again. "Do they know?" He asked.

"No..........and I'd like to keep it that way. until they find out on there own." I told him.

He slowly walked up to me and held out his hand. "Till we see eachother again then...yes?"

I took his hand. "Till we meet again."

He chuckled with a grin. "I wish whoever it is you meet good luck. they'll need it."

I looked at his sad eyes. "Thank you Kipsky."

He let go of my hand and took another drag of his cigarette. He then slightly pointed in the direction of the road.

"Go." He said.

I nodded and took off to the dirt road.

It was ironic really. I was again the lone traveller setting out on the dirt road, but my sole mission then was to find the resistance, and save my father.

My new mission? Kill them...........kill them all!
