A silver object the size of a microwave wobbled dangerously in space, sparks illuminating its outer surface as it entered into the belt of air around a planet. The pilots desperately tried to get the ship back under control, chattering urgently, long fingers flicking buttons and switches while the vessel kept picking up speed, nearing its structural limits.

Suddenly, a distinctive noise of something breaking and more blaring sounds were added to the chaos of the cockpit as the ship began to rotate on itself, further accelerating towards the now rapidly approaching ground. Those in the cabin were helpless as their ship got closer and closer to the surface, a deafening impact silencing all noises in mere moments. After an indescribable amount of time, one of the pilots cracked open their large eyes, groaning in pain as they took in the sight of the wreckage and the bodies of all his crew members. He was the only one in that craft to have survived the crash. His large eyes darted around slowly and fearfully, seeing many large vessels as well as tall creatures flashing multiple different lights into the pilot’s face as they mumbled amongst each other.

The wounded pilot now felt a harsh net enveloping and lifting him, barely resisting as it impossible with his current injuries. The tall creatures gathered around him, their muttering constant becoming a blurry jumble of sounds as they moved their captive towards a large black vessel.

The captured survivor kept his large eyes peeled on the large round pattern on the vehicle in which the creatures tried to place him, the emblem carving itself into his memory. It was a big circular symbol, rimmed with gold, then a stripe of white with black lines, followed by a navy blue center orned by more gold and pointy white shapes. The pilot couldn’t tell what the patch of lighter colours in the middle was, but he could recognize the prideful and severe-looking bird with its wings outstretched; an eagle was how the Earthlings called it.
