Book 3: THE REGALIS
The ground shook slightly. Energy radiated from the main building of the academy. Inside the Grand Genesis, a small room beside the place where the hidden archives are held, the arch on the wall trembled. Engraved on the centuries-old cement arc were countless symbols. Most of them overlapped each other. There were engraved by people from different generations. As it continues to tremble, a small black hole appeared in the middle. It started as big as one’s fist then a plate then it expands to fill the area of the arch. Then a rush of air was released from the abyss of darkness. The rushing air continued for about five minutes.
Inside the void isn’t darkness but a kaleidoscope of memories and objects reflected from the person’s mind. The strongest memory and emotion were often the largest. It’s a reality of memory. Oftentimes, these memories make people forget that they were still in the void. Time isn’t constant so people sometimes overstay.
Outside, the rushing wind was slowing down. Once it stopped, a body emerged from the dark wall. The person wobbly stepped forward. Then one by one, eight bodies left the void. Everyone was dizzy. Some of them sat on the floor while some rested their heads on the wall. Despite nausea, their eyes stared at the black wall. Waiting for the last person. But the darkness shrunk into the size of a plate then a fist until there was nothing but a brown wall. There were cries and shouts after it disappeared. There’s no more waiting for the last person.
