" How can anyone come into Luna’s room?” Axel roared in frustration. ” What kind of security do you have here?” He looked accusingly at Trevor.

Trevor looked offended and ashamed at the same time. ” There’s no problem with the security here.”

" Then how did the person enter into my sister’s room in the middle of the night and just vanish into thin air?”

Trevor was lost for words and looked at Dalton, who looked equally lost. Dalton had checked the entire Pack premises, but he didn’t find a trace of the intruder. They couldn’t even get a sniff of his scent.

Meanwhile, Adele was very quiet as she was in deep thought. She recalled all the instances that happened in the past few days. The person who had attacked her did not have any smell. Was he using any kind of potion which masks the scent? He was associated with a witch, so that could be a possibility. She had thought that Archer was the only one directly supporting Samara but who could be this guy? She had never seen him anywhere.

Adele suddenly had a realization and looked around the room very keenly. After a few minutes of thought, she abruptly got up and said, ” There’s no point in arguing.”

Axel and Trevor immediately stopped and looked at Adele.

" What do you mean, Ade? This is a serious matter. The enemies know about our plans in advance, and now they have reached your room unnoticed. It’s obvious someone is informing them everything.” Axel said, exasperated.

“I agree, bro, but now everything is solved. ”

Axel was confused. ” How?”

" Because I have the moonstone with me.”

The listeners were shocked. ” What?“, ” How did you get it?“, ” When?”

" I found it yesterday at the Mansion. What would they do without the moonstone,” Adele said in a matter-of-fact tone.

" Where is it now?” Trevor asked excitedly.

" I have hidden it at a safe place.”

" Where?” he pressed.

Adele stared at the corner for a few seconds and said, ” Let me show you.”

Adele walked out of the living room, and after a few steps, she turned back to see whether everyone was following. Axel, Dalton, Trevor, and a few other pack members were right behind her.

She was headed towards the basement, and Trevor asked, ” Why are you going towards the dungeon?”

" You will see.”

They went down the stairs and walked to the end of the corridor. Adele stopped at a locked door and recalled the day she had found this room when she was exploring the Pack. That day she was shocked beyond belief when she had seen what was inside.

She then took a hairpin and opened the lock easily while Trevor and Dalton stood with their mouths open.

" How did you do that?” Dalton asked, surprised.

" How did you know about this room. No one has entered here for years,” one of the senior Pack members asked, raising an eyebrow.

Adele just opened the door and entered inside. Axel was appalled at seeing the interior. The room had a stinking rotten smell and was covered in dust, fleece, and cobwebs, but the disturbing factor was the number of cruel and sadistic torture devices placed all over the room.

" Why do you have a torture room here?”

“It was built by our previous Alpha after his mate’s death,” the senior pack member said. ” He tortured everyone who was associated with the evil witch.” He was transported back to the time when Shawn tortured the rogue wolves years ago, and the packhouse was filled with painful cries. After his mate and best friend’s death, Shawn nearly went insane with revenge. Even Chris was tortured in this room several times whenever he did not live up to his father’s expectations. After Chris became the Alpha, he had this room locked as it would remind him of the bad times. Adele took the keys kept inside a shelf and walked towards an enclosure at the corner of the room about the size of a shower stall. Three sides of the chamber were made of wood, while the front was made of glass.

Adele opened the glass doors with the keys, and Axel asked, ” You have hidden the stone in a torture chamber?”

” Why not? What better place than this?” Adele smirked.

“Impressive,” Axel praised her.

Adele grinned and entered inside. She stood still and just glanced around the chamber for a few seconds. Suddenly, she walked out of the chamber in a hurry and locked the glass door.

Everyone looked at Adele in confusion, and she faced the senior member. ” Do you know what this chamber can do?”

“Yes, Luna. Extreme heating and even extreme cooling.”

" What about fire?”

" There are multiple sockets made on the wooden sides which can emit fire. Also, there are small holes that can shoot wooden needles,” the senior pack member explained. ” I myself got this chamber designed,” he said with a hint of pride.

" That’s great. So you know how to operate it?”

" Of course, Luna.”

" What are you trying to do, Ade?” Axel asked, annoyed.

" Was contemplating what torture method would be best to torture someone.”

" Torture whom?”

" The one who is locked in the chamber.”

They all stared inside the chamber and saw it was empty. ” There’s nobody here,” one warrior said.

" Look clearly,” Adele said.

Trevor, Dalton, and a few others looked closely and still couldn’t find anyone.

" You are frustrating me now, Ade,” Axel sneered.

" Then let’s talk to him directly, ” Adele said and approached the chamber. ” What do you prefer, Daniel? Do you want to get burnt by fire, or would you like to get pricked by multiple wooden needles?”

" Who the f**k is Daniel?” Axel growled.

" He is a vampire who has been assisting Samara for years,” Adele stated.

" But he died 15 years ago,” the senior pack member remarked.

" Are you sure? Did you see him die in front of your eyes?” Adele asked, raising her brow.

The senior pack member, a warrior himself, recalled the day they had attacked the vampire’s hideout. ” We had burned down his house. The vampire’s ashes were found,” he said softly as if he was unsure about it.

" Do you remember something unique about Daniel?”

The senior warrior looked confused at first, and suddenly, it clicked. ” Of course. He was a shapeshifter. He could change into any animal.”

" Exactly!!!” Adele exclaimed.

" What?” Axel said and looked clearly inside the chamber. ” I can see a fly.”

Adele nodded in agreement and looked at the fly. ” You are exposed, Daniel, so I suggest you should shift back and talk,” Adele warned.

" Fine!!! I warned you.” As there was no response, Adele looked at the senior pack member again. “Can you activate the fire feature?”

" Certainly,” he smirked with an evil glint in his eye.

He moved to the corner, where there were a few buttons and controls to operate. He turned a knob, and there was a burst of fire from all three sides within the chamber.

" Ahhhh!!!! Please stop it,” they heard a scream, and everyone stared dumbstruck.

A man stood in the empty chamber crying and begging to stop the fire. Adele signaled at the senior warrior, who turned off the knob.

" How did you know about him?” Dalton asked Adele looking stunned.

" From the past few days, I observed a particular bird perched upon the tree at the Pack border. At that time, I didn’t think much about it, but when I remembered the incidents of the past few days, I felt I had seen that bird too often. ” Adele explained. ” The day we were planning our strategy to attack Samara’s hideout, a firefly was sitting on the window sill. Also, yesterday when he attacked me, how could he vanish without anyone of us noticing? Obviously, he had turned into a fly.”

The pack members seemed more impressed by their Luna with each passing day. They looked at her proudly when they heard Daniel sneer from inside the chamber. ” You are smarter than I thought,” he snapped, looking straight at Adele. ” I have been watching this Pack for years, but nobody had discovered me till now.” He was angry at being caught but couldn’t help but admire Adele’s intelligence.

" Now that you have been caught, it’s better you speak up. Where are my mates?” Adele screamed the last words.

Daniel grinned evilly at all the pack members and sneered. ” You will never know that. They will be dead on the blood moon day.”
