Chapter 50: Going Home

Jean decided to drive so that I could get some sleep. She knows that I have not slept because we shared a room. I crawled into the back of the car and stretched out and fell asleep. I slept the whole way home. I was sitting outside when the car pulled up.

I watched as Jean leaned toward the back and then I saw Shawn sit up slowly. I sat there staring at her beautiful face. I wanted to walk over to the car and pull her into my arms but I didn't. I slowly got out of the car and walked into the clubhouse. I didn't look right or left. I walked straight to my room.

As I entered I shut and locked the door. Then I walked to the bathroom taking my clothes off and jumped into the shower. After I got out and dried off I walked over to my dresser and grabbed some sweatpants, underwear, socks, and a long shirt. After putting my clothes on I walked back into the bathroom putting my hair up in a messy bun.

I walked out of my room and to the kitchen getting me a bowl of cereal and coffee. When I finished eating I rinsed my bowl and put it in the sink. I filled my cup again and walked into the bar sitting with the girls at the VIP table.

I was drinking my coffee taking the aspirin and laid my head back against the wall. I felt someone slide into the booth next to me and felt his arm go around me. I knew who it was by his aftershave and I stiffened up.

"Get your hands off of me" I said.

I turned and looked at Gunner with cold eyes. He slowly removed his arm from around me. Let me out I said. He looked at me with sad eyes but he slid out from the booth and let me out. I turned and walked away. I felt his eyes watching me along with every club member that was there. I saw Shadow sitting at the table in the corner watching me as I walked away.

"I am so sorry that I ever brought Karan here."

" Shawn and Gunner would still be happy."

" She needs to know that Gunner was stringing her along to find out what she was really up to but she probably hates me just as much as she does Gunner right now."

I want my brother to be happy. Somehow I feel as if I took that away from him. I got up to check on the baby and as I walked past her room I heard her crying. I opened the door and found Mike asleep.
