“I promise everything will be fine!” Howard smiled and cut her off. As they spoke, they arrived at the door.
“Daddy!” Riley ran over as soon as they entered the house.”
“Riley!” Howard smiled, lifting the little one. He then exchanged greetings with Holden and Kaylee.

“The developers!” Talia explained, summarizing the situation.
“They wanted to buy our houses for seventy thousand dollars? They might as well just rob us!” Kaylee exclaimed.
“These developers are really heartless!” Holden also frowned. “No wonder I saw a few neighbors looking so worried earlier!”
After saying this, Holden looked at Howard with a worried expression. “You’ve beaten Jayden’s people; they won’t let this slide easily.”
“So what if they don’t? I don’t believe they can control everything!” Without waiting for Howard to respond, Kaylee spoke loudly. “I can go with the neighbors to report to the relevant authorities. I don’t believe no one will take care of this!”
“Don’t act recklessly. Jayden has a strong influence in Mendorra, both in legal and illegal circles. He has plenty of ways to deal with civilians. like you,” Holden replied sternly.
“What can he do with all his influence? Can he kill every one of us?” Kaylee continued angrily.
“Uncle, Auntie, don’t worry. I’ll ask my friends to handle this,” Howard
said with a faint smile.
“What kind of friends can a soldier like you have? It’s better for me to handle this myself!” Kaylee retorted.
