“I told you to leave. Why are you still here?” Summer crossed her arms on her chest as she walked over to the living room and stood in front of Hunter who was already on his feet. 

“I’m not someone who would leave because you asked me to. Let’s go on a date, Summer,” Hunter looked into her eyes as those words came out of his mouth, hoping she’d listen to him and give him a chance this time as he was already dying inside for her. 

“No,” Summer’s reply was short and blunt, and she didn’t waste another second before she walked out of the house elegantly. However, she stopped on her track and clenched her fingers tightly and brielly when she saw Xander leaning against his car which was parked outside her gate. 

“How did he locate my house?” She mumbled just before she proceeded toward the gate. 

“How did you know my house, and why are you here?” She crossed her arms on her chest as she stood in front of Xander minutes later with her eyebrows 

raised.

“Did you really cheat on me then?” Xander’s voice shook slightly as he looked into her eyes and asked. For years, he had been so sure about her cheating on him, he had been holding on to that, but his mind suddenly started to think something else even though the test result was yet to be released to him. What if it was all a misunderstanding? What if she never cheated on him like she claimed years ago? What if it turned out that he really accused her of nothing? Will she be able to forgive him then? 

“What do you want to know again, Xander? We did it on your…” their bodies were just inches apart.

“I told you to stop touching me, Xander. I’m no longer your wife,” Those words pierced through his heart like a dagger. Getting reminded every damn time that they were no longer together was driving him nuts and it was so hard to bear,

“That’s enough, Kander, Stop coming to my house. I have no business with your Mom, I’m never getting back with you, and you have no fucking business with my kids or who their father is… So, stop this while I’m being nice,” Her voice sounded so confident as she looked him straight in the eyes and 

uttered. 

She turned to leave but paused when she saw Hunter standing just behind the gate. 

“Hunter… You are there?” She smiled weakly at Hunter, doing everything she could just to hold herself together. Breaking down in front of Xander was the last thing she would ever allow herself to do. 

“Are you ok? You look sad,” Hunter asked after she stepped outside the gate and stood in front of her. 

She glanced back at Xander

“I don’t feel good because of someone’s presence…” She paused, then turned to Xander and smirked. 

“Did you say you wanted to take me out on a date?” She asked out of the blue moon, and Xander’s eyebrows furrowed. 

“Hmm… Have you made your decision? Will you go with me?” Hunter asked, his voice filled with new hope as his face beamed with smiles like a man whose crush was just giving an attention for the first time. Well, this meant a lot to him. 

“Who knows, I might make my decision if you help me out with something.” She faced Hunter and smiled. 

“I don’t think I should introduce him again since you know who he is already. You can’t relate since you weren’t married before. But don’t you think it’ll be annoying if your ex–girlfriend or ex–wife suddenly shows up in front of you acting all pathetic?” Summer didn’t look away from Xander as she spoke to 

Hunter. 

“Hmm… I’d find it annoying…” 

“Help me get rid of him…. If you can make him leave here immediately, I will go with you on a date, and who knows, I might consider giving your love a chance,” Summer knew deep inside her that this was going to hurt Hunter, she knew that this game wasn’t a nice one to play, but still, she just needed to 

do this. 

Xander stood there silently, anticipating what Hunter was going to do. Was he going to hit him? How the heck was he going to get rid of him? Xander kept wondering, but the unexpected happened out of the blue moon. 

“Anything for you, my lady,” Xander couldn’t believe his eyes when Hunter held her hand, pulled her close, and slammed his lips on hers right in front of him. The world froze at that moment…
