Chad took a deep breath and turned to Yohan as a last resort. "Elder Yale, you're one of the most respected people in Taya City, and my last hope. Please say something here. I've agreed to give up this mine. Isn't asking for all the mines a bit too much?" Chad knew that Yohan was in cahoots with the Weiss clan.
However, that was his last resort, and he could only hope that Yohan spoke up for him so that he would not lose everything.
Nevertheless, Yohan let out a sigh. "Chad, it's clear who has the upper hand here. You're better off saying yes than losing your life." Yohan's words made Chad cough out another mouthful of blood, thoroughly losing all hope.
What else could he possibly do? Was he going to have to die here too? Just then, Shane smirked. "You should have just said yes in the first place, and none of this would have happened. You f*cking dumbass. How dare you even try to go against the Weiss clan." Chad had lost all hope and did not wish to continue fighting anymore.
He said feebly, "You can have it, all of it. I'll make the transfer within the next few days, and the Lesters will leave Kin Province for good." Despite losing all his businesses, Chad still had a decent amount of savings that would be enough for his family to carry on living.
However, he had fought hard for those mines, and it pained him to just give them up like that. Tears welled up in Chad's eyes, rolling down his cheeks.
The grief, humiliation, and anger were almost enough to make Chad pass out.
Shane let out a loud laugh then, feeling extremely smug. Yohan stroked his beard as well, clearly satisfied.
Just then, a voice said, "Hold on, I didn't agree to this yet." Everyone was taken aback and looked to where the voice cfrom. It was none other than the guy Wallace had brought over, the one who said he could take on ten people at once.
Shane sneered. "What's this? Do you have a death wish too?" Even Chad frowned. "Young man, don't be saying ridiculous things. You might end up dead." Wallace and Wendy hurried to shut Wilbur up as well, hoping that he would stop talking.
Despite the fact that Wilbur could crush stones and control lightning, surely he would be nothing in comparison to someone like Shane.
Wallace and Wendy had lost all their confidence in Wilbur upon witnessing just how terrifyingly powerful Shane was.
Even Yohan shouted, "Young man, you have no right to speak here. Get out right now." Wilbur smirked at Yohan. "What did the Weiss clan give you, you old geezer? Or did you already have an agreement with the Weiss clan to take over the Lesters' mines?" "What the hell are you talking about?" Yohan got to his feet at once, pointing accusingly at Wilbur.
Chad widened his eyes, rushing up to Wilbur. "Hey, now. Don't say that." Chad himself knew that Yohan was in cahoots with them for sure, but he would never dare to say it out loud.
Yohan had been one of the top dogs of the underground circle back then, and had killed quite a few people.
This hardly mattered to Wilbur. He ignored Chat and called out to Yohan, "You shameless old geezer, you joined forces with a crook to bully someone out of their businesses and you're still trying to sound all righteous! I'd drown myself in my own piss out of shif I were you."
