Chris got speechless when he noticed that Esther didn't believe him, "Honey, I'm not bragging. Let's just go and check it out.”
Esther got hesitated while Chris was pretty serious.
Esther asked in disbelief, "Did you really buy Cloud Bay?"
Chris lifted his head high, "Sure!"
Esther pouted, "All right. I will go there myself to see if you are just bragging.”
"I wouldn't let you down, honey!"
Chris then held Hope up, "Hope, do you want to see our new home?"
Hope clapped her hands excitedly, "Yes! Daddy! I want to live in a big house!"
Chris beamed, "I'll get you the biggest house!"
The three then walked out of the basement.
"Let's get in the car, honey!"
Chris took the car key.
"Chris, didn't I tell you to return the cars?"
Esther's face darkened when she saw the Maybach.
Chris got upset, "Honey, I'm as low-key as I can be. I've already returned all the premium Benz. Plus, I didn't get a single bodyguard today! I'm going to drive myself."
"If I return the Maybach, we are going to have to get sandwiched in a bus.”
Ever since Esther's lecture, Chris had decided to remain low-profile.
He asked Tiger to get all the Benz back and only kept the Maybach which was worth billions of dollars.
"All right.”
Esther thought that Chris did have a point.
They needed a car to run errands and Hope just recovered, so they couldn't cram themselves in a bus.
They then got in the car and Esther asked, "Where are we going, Chris?"
"We got to go to the Collins residence first and pick up Mom and Dad. We can then go to the new home together!"
Chris then started the car and raced away.
Ever since what happened at the banquet last time, the Collins dared not to drive Susan and John to the old house.
Susan was sitting on a couch like a queen.
All the Collins were attending her.
"Susan, try this apple.” Laurence buttered up.
Susan had a bite of the apple and answered, "Not bad. Remember to get some cherries next time. Don't get these cheap stuff.”
"Sure!"
Laurence answered hurriedly.
"Auntie Susan, do you want a massage?”
Loretta massaged Susan's shoulders and asked gingerly.
Susan frowned, "Didn't you eat this morning? Try harder!”
"Yes, Auntie Susan!
Loretta massaged harder.
John was quite awkward when he heard Susan's words.
He was at a loss being surrounded by the Collins’ over-the-top enthusiasm.
Michael coughed and asked, "Susan, is Chris Lord Death or not?"
Ever since the banquet, the Collins were on edge.
They weren't sure about Chris's true identity and dared not to cold-shoulder Susan and John. What if Chris was Lord Death? They would be done for.
But the Collins were really curious about Chris's identity.
Susan got displeased, "Dad, what is that supposed to mean? Didn't you see the tanks and helicopters that day? Who can afford to have such a big entrance if he is not Lord Death?"
