Chapter 2

Cory Hudson thought of himself as a normal teenager. He and his twin sister, Kayla, were sixteen and sophomores in high school. They weren’t identical twins but were about as close as you could get being different genders.

Cory was 5’9”, weighing about a hundred and forty pounds. He wasn’t musclebound, but he kept in shape playing on the school tennis team. His chestnut brown hair was kept nearly shoulder length. He kept is long so he and Kayla could swap places should the need arise.

Kayla could pass for Cory as long as she wore baggy clothes which would hide her slightly less muscular physique and smallish bust. She also wore glasses, which she preferred, but had contacts which she could put in if necessary.

Kayla was often told she had a natural beauty, so she didn’t wear much make-up. Maybe a little lipstick or lip gloss and a touch of eyeshadow were as much as she would wear.

If the twins did do a switch for some reason, Cory had a set of non-prescription glasses that matched Kayla’s. He would pull his hair back into a ponytail like his sister and the teachers would never notice the difference. Kayla would simply remove her make-up and glasses, put in her contacts, and let her hair down.

While the students knew the subtle differences between the twins, the teachers were usually too busy to notice.

Both teens were above average in intelligence but weren’t too outgoing, so the teachers rarely called on them in class, assuming, usually correctly, that the already knew the answers.

Which they could get away with the swaps, the rarely did it and when they did, it was usually out of boredom They never did it to cheat. Laster on they did it once in a while so Cory could spend an extra period with his girlfriend Lily. Kayla had fifth period English with Lily, even though Lily was a year older and a grade ahead.

Lily Madison was seventeen and a junior. She met Cory almost a year before, which walking by the tennis courts on her way home after a swim meet.
