Chapter 36

The next two weeks went by quickly; Abby and Kayla going to meet twice a week with Andre while Cory and Blaine played tennis. The group occasionally went out to the movies or dinner like normal.

Two more kids joined their group. Both Japanese exchange students who would be starting at the same high school.

Yuki and Yoshi were both seventeen and juniors and knew each other from Japan. They were dating and met Abby and Kayla at Andre’s place. Andre wasn’t directly involved with them; he usually took care of the females only. Another person was involved in their training of the arts.

The four had agreed not to talk about what they did there. Most people wouldn’t understand what they were doing there, and some would be totally against it. Two pretty girls, well three if you counted Yuki being abused like that.

Willingly no less.

However, the six of them got along well.

The twin’s mom allowed to spend money out of her account since she didn’t want it anyway, and the twins didn’t take advantage of it. They spent more than usual, mostly Kayla and Abby on school clothes, but Abby had her own money and didn’t rely on Kayla to buy her things.

The twins occasionally picked up the bill for dinner, or a night at the movies, but the others paid their own ways just as often.

Kayla ended up buying Cory new school clothes as well as a brand new, top if the line tennis racket, since he mostly refused to spend Lily’s money.

Cory kept the box for Lily on the nightstand next to his bed just in case she showed up. The days passed and both twins called Lily daily, her voicemail still full.

Finally, school arrived. Tomorrow, the twins were officially Juniors and only a month away from being seventeen.

Cory sat on his bed looking at the blank TV screen. He hadn’t turned it on again after making sure it and the game system were set up properly.

Kayla walked into his room and watched him as he sat, looking at nothing rubbing the puzzle piece that hung around his neck. “A penny for your thoughts,” she said, surprising him.

“Probably not worth that much,” he replied.

“Then at least tell me I’m pretty,” she said, pouting.

He turned his head and looked at her. She had on a white flower print dress that went down to her knees over white hose. To top it off, literally, she had a white headband through her chestnut-colored hair.

“Gee sis, you look like a cute, precocious eight-year-old going to church. If you aren’t picked as prom the whole school is blind and stupid.”

She looked pleased.

“Although I’d swap out the black undies unless you’re advertising you’re easy…. or Abby.”

A touch of pink rose to her cheeks. “I wasn’t planning on wearing those tomorrow,” she said.

“In that case, you’re leaving the slutty look to Abs, and you look lovely.”

“What are you going to wear?”

“Whatever is handy,” he said.

“Boys,” rolling her eyes. She walked over to his dresser and started going through it, looking for clothes for him. Pulling out a new pair of slacks she got for him, she tossed them on the bed.

She closed that drawer and opened another, rummaging through it. Tossing socks and underwear on the bed next to the pants, she started to push the drawer back in when she stopped.

Moving things around, she searched the drawer, then said, “Hey, where did our magazines go?”

Looking over at Cory, he looked down.

She raised a plucked eyebrow at him.

He glanced up and said, “I tried and all I saw was her face. And as much as I wanted to… even more so with her face, I – I couldn’t. So, I put them where you could get them instead of just throwing them out. Just forgot to tell you.”

Kayla closed his drawer and walked over to him. She raised his head and looked into his eyes. “Cory, I know you loved her. If she left us, you need to get over her. I’m not saying this to be mean. I loved her too, in my own way. But she’d want you to live your life. You can’t just shut down and pine over her the rest of your life.

“You don’t have to run out and find a girl tomorrow, but at least go through the motions of living, even if it’s a lie. Both Abby and Yuki are willing to set you up with someone. Maybe Yuki can find you a nice subservient Japanese geisha girl to take care of all your needs. And I mean all …”

“Not funny,” he said. “I’m considering priesthood.”

Kayla rolled her eyes again. “Cory Hudson, you are so full of it. If I stripped right now, you’d either try to have your way with me, or erupt all over yourself… or both.”

“That’s different,” he said.

“The hell it is. I’ve seen you look at Yuki. I think you just have a thing for slim, black-haired girls.”

“Do not. Her hair just reminds me of Lily.”

“Everything reminds you of Lily, assclown. Abby might give you a go-around if it’ll stop you’re moping around.”

“No thank you. Blaine takes care her needs from what I hear… which is too much.”

“Tell me about it. They even started going at it once while I was on the phone with Abby. Ick.”

“Poor girl.”

Kayla walked over to the closet and found a nice button-down shirt and added it to the pile. “There, tomorrow you will look yummy. I’ll guarantee you’ll get hit on tomorrow. If not, I’ll do your chores for a week.”

“Deal,” he said.

“Goodnight,” she said, turning and pulling her dress over her head as she walked out.

“Hey, I remember that outfit from where you were six, I think it was. Without the bra of course. I think the panties were blue, not black as well. You were always bad about wearing dark panties under white.”

“Maybe I wanted you to notice,” she called back, closing her door.

Cory knew she was just messing with him to get his mind off of Lily. He still had errant thoughts of his sister, but it was Lily he wanted.

His mind pictured her topless in the tent, her in a bikini at the pool party, her between his thighs, cleaning him with her soft hands, the sight, and the feel of the downy black public hair.

Now aroused, he set the clothes on his chair, turned off his light and took care of the problem thinking of Lily, falling asleep not long after he finished.
