Chapter 64

Chapter 64 

Jenna had just woken up from her afternoon nap when someone came to knock on her door. She went to open it. 

“Good afternoon. Miss Jenna” the guard said. 

“Are my brothers back?” Jenna asked. Chapter 63 

“What do you mean?” Ray asked looking at Miles with shock in his eyes. The aura that Miles gave off resembled that of his late father..no it was even stronger than the former alpha’s and this made Ray scared. 

“You heard me right. This is the first and last time we will respect Alexia’s wishes when it comes to you and your daughter, Kayla, But if this happens again, I can promise you that I’ll send the both of you to accompany each other in hell! Miles 

said. 

When Ray saw the fury in Miles eyes, he knew that he wasn’t joking at all. He will really keep on his promise if Kayla dares to do anything to Alexia again. 

“You are…..you are threatening me?” Ray summoned up all of his courage that he had to ask this question. He didn’t want to lose so badly to Miles.

“Threatening? I don’t have time to play such mind games, 1 am just telling you what I’ll do if this happens again. If you really value Kayla’s life, then do all that you can to keep her out of Alexia’s way. Now get the  out of here!” Miles commanded. 

Ray was left shivering in fear and shock. He did not know when he walked away from the hospital in shock. 

Micheal turned to Miles after Ray was gone. Do you think that Kayla will stay away from Alexia? Ray has always let Kayla do whatever she wants. I don’t think that he’ll be able to stop her this time” Micheal said. 

Miles shrugged. He really didn’t care. “I don’t care. If she dares to do anything, I have lots of ways to make her regret her pathetic life so this isn’t a big deal at all!” Miles said. 

“Let’s go in to see her. I’m really worried about Alexia. It must be really hard for her to have a father who treats her like this” Micheal said pitifully. 

Miles cocked an eyebrow and looked at Michael. “You seem to care about her a lot Miles said. 

Micheal coughed and looked away, not daring to meet Miles questioning gaze. 

“Well, yeah, I care about her. She’s my mate too remember? It’s the mate bond” Micheal said. 

Of course Miles did not believe this, he had a good idea of what was going on in Micheal’s head, because he was feeling those things too. 

He just hoped things won’t get out of hand with Alexia. 

Alexia was wiping off tears when Micheal and Miles entered the room, Micheal frowned as he felt as if something was clawing at his heart. He really should not have let Ray walk away from here in one peace! 

How dare he come here, make Alexia cry and leave as if he had done nothing wrong?! 

“Alexia, are you okay?” Michael asked softly, while fighting hard to hold back the anger that was threatening to erupt inside 

of him. 

Alexia wiped her tears as she tried her best to appear normal. 

“Yeah. I’m fine. Why will you think that I’m not?” She asked. 

“Because we have eyes Alexia. We can see. And we also have common sense. We know that your father was only here for one reason. We can see that you aren’t okay. What’s the point of lying and putting on a facade?” Miles bit out. 

Chapter 65 

He was so angry that he wanted to erupt too. That damn Ray! He should have let him suffer some more before he let him leave this place! 

Alexia didn’t know what to feel when she heard that. But it was true that they probably already know everything. There is no need to hide it from them. 

She broke down and started to cry. She finally let herself go in front of them. 

“I don’t know, I don’t know what I did to deserve all of this. I am his family too. I am his daughter too. Why does he keep treating me like I don’t exist? I just wish…I just wish that he’d see me. That he’d see that I’m suffering too. As my father, he’s never cared about me a single day. He always let Kayla do whatever she wants, telling me that I’m her younger sister and that I need to listen to her.” 

“This time, Kayla did want me raped. I’m just trying to deny but I know deep down that she wanted me raped. I know that she wouldn’t have cared if I was beaten up to death. But I need to save her because she’s my sister. Why am I the only one who has to consider as sisters? Why can’t she be considerate? How can Kayla get away with everything and anything. including hurting me?” Alexia asked while almost choking on her tears. 

Micheal had his hands clenched tightly as Alexia talked. When she was done, he finally snapped. 

He knew that he can’t take it anymore. He has to do something to either Kayla or Ray to get rid of the anger that he was feeling inside. 

“I’m going to kill that Little bitch Kayla! I’ll make her pay for this!” Micheal said. 

He turned abruptly to walk away but Miles held his hand and pulled him back. 

Although he was angry too, he was more in control of his emotions than Micheal who seemed to want to go on a rampage. 

“How can we just let her go?! See what she’s done to Alexia! She has tortured Alexia her entire life! Why should she get away with it?! I want to make her pay! I want to make her pay for every single thing that she’s done!” Micheal said. 

Every bone in his body yearned to crush Kayla to pieces. He could kill her over and over again but it still won’t be able to appease the anger that he had inside of him. 

“Calm the fuck down Micheal. I get that you are angry, heck, I am so mad too. But think about it. Does Alexia need someone who’s on the verge of a break down right now? She doesn’t need it neither does she deserve it, so calm down and don’t do anything stupid!” Miles said. 

Micheal finally calmed down when he heard this. The only thing holding him back was Alexia’s wellbeing. He didn’t want her to get even worse than this. 

Miles turned to Alexia. “What is it that you want to do? Do you want to save Kayla? We will do whatever it is that you want this time. So tell us, what do you want?” Miles asked.

Micheal was going to start raving mad again but Miles stopped him.

But you need to know that sometimes, we just have to let go of family members that are hurting us. We can’t keep holding on to them forever. Because they are only going to hurt us more. You need to make that decision as soon as possible Alexia. If you don’t want them to hurt you for the rest of your life.” 

The guard shook his head. “No, but Alpha Axiel is here to see you. Should I ask him to leave?” The guard asked. 

Jenna pouted her lips. She had sent Axiel away too many times that even the guards and maids now knows how it works between them. 

“No, I’ll go see him. Just let me get dressed Jenna said. 

She wondered what he had come to see her for. But then she remembered that the both of them had decided to work on their relationship. 

Even if they won’t be falling in love with each other, they need to at least get along with each other if they are going to be living the rest of their lives together. There was just no two ways about it. 

Jenna spent thirty minutes getting ready before going down.

She had a hard time picking out the dress she wanted to wear. 

She really hated fuzzing over what she was going to wear like this. She doesn’t even care what he thinks about her. 

Why should she waste so much dressing up just because he is here? 

She finally settled down for a yellow flowery gown. When she checked herself out in the mirror, she almost took it off because it looked too….. deliberate. 

As if she had deliberately picked out the clothes for him. 

Jenna shook her head to resist the urge. This will just have to do. She doesn’t want to care about what he thinks of her. It will just be complicating her life even further. She didn’t want that at all 

Jenna went downstairs and saw Axiel sitting on the couch. He was sipping on the tea that one of the maids had probably served him. Jenna really didn’t want to stare at him, but then she lost herself when she looked at his peaceful side figure. 

She realized that she had never really taken the time to look at the man that she will be marrying properly. She had always been trying to avoid him.

Jenna found herself thinking that it won’t be such a bad idea for her to be his mate and to be getting married. 

At least he has a good looking face that he won’t be getting tired of any time soon. 

“Are you done looking?” Axiel’s extremely  voice pulled her out of her imaginations. 

Jenna cleared her throat. “Who said that I’m looking at you?” She asked as she walked over to him. 

“No one has to tell me. I have eyes and I can see for myself that you’ve been watching me for the past ten minute. Why? Dud 

you finally realize how handsome I am? Do you finally see that it’s a good thing for you to be mated to me?” Axiel asked with a smirk on his face. 

He had been bored to death waiting for Jenna. Nothing could catch his attention. Immediately he caught sight of her, it was as if his body and mind came to live. 

He had really high hopes for his marriage with Jenna. She is really interesting. At least he won’t be bored living with her. 

Unlike Nadia and all the other women that he has slept with. Jenna makes him want to have a conversation with her. That must count for something right? 

“Did anyone tell you Axiel?” Jenna asked while smiling sarcastically at him. 

Axiel knew that Jenna can’t be going anywhere good with this but he still played along with her. 

“Tell me what?” He asked. 

“That you are an arrogant asshole who is narcissistic to a fault!” Jenna said and looked away to hide the blush that was creeping on her face. 

She really hated the effect that Axiel was begining to have on him. She was supposed to be cold and indifferent to him! 

Why on earth is he so….hard to ignore? 

Axiel burst out laughing when he heard this. It’s just as he thought. There is never a dull moment with this she wolf. She always has a way to make him laugh and to keep him interested. 

“I’ve been called a lot of things, but narcissistic isn’t one of them. Maybe it’s because it’s not narcissism but confidence? I have every right to feel confident about myself, don’t you think Miss Jenna?” Axiel asked. He still had that confident smirk on his face and it really unnerved Jenna. 

Jenna cursed in her heart. She hated the fact that she agreed with him. It wasn’t that he was narcissistic, he was just confident because he has every reason to be. 

She really wanted to hate Axiel and put a wall between the both of them. 

But as she got closer to him, she found out that there was really nothing to hate about him. 

He carried himself with confidence because he deserves everything that he has right now. 

“Why are you here today anyway?” Jenna asked in a attempt to change the topic. She knows that she won’t be able to win against him, so she just decided to change the topic. 

“No, no Jenna. You are not going to try to change the topic here. You know that you are not going to win and now you’re changing the topic? Admit it Jenna. You were looking at me. You were admiring my looks” Axiel said. 

Even though he had always known that he has a good looking face, he has never cared about it up until this point. 

It was never something important to him but when he saw Jenna looking at him with that gaze, he was suddenly grateful to his parents for his face. 

Who knows? Maybe he just might be able to seduce her with his face. 

Jenna’s face bured hot with embarrassment. She knows that she won’t be able to get out of this now. 

*I…. fine! I admit it. I was looking at you. But you have to admit that you’re good looking. A little eye candy never hurt anyone. I was just looking because you are good looking. No big deal” Jenna said. 

She tried to act cool about it but she was burning inside from embarrassment. 

Axiel smirked. He was glad that he had the upper hand in the conversation now. He had never had the upper hand in a conversation with Jenna before. This is a new and interesting feeling. 

“So you’re saying that I look good? You admire my good looks?” Axiel said. His confident smirk was still plastered on his face. 

Jenna suddenly smirked. It seems that Axiel has no intentions of letting go of this topic. 

“Of course you are good looking and it’s only normal for people to want to admire good looking things. In fact, this dress I’m wearing, it’s pretty. I couldn’t help looking at it when I bought it, or that vase over there, it’s pretty. No big deal!”
