Chapter 77 

He was usually so carefree and laid back…is he so angry just because she said that she doesn’t want to live with them? But they also didn’t let Kayla live with them even though she was their mate at the time. 

Alexia knows Kayla very well, if Micheal and Miles had asked her to live with them, she would have gone in a heartbeat. She won’t even need to think about it. 

“Alexia, don’t get scared. They are just saying that they won’t let you live with a family that has abused you for so long. It’s all for your own good. Even I won’t let you go back to live with them. So just come with us alright? I can assure you that you won’t regret it” Jenna said. 

“I just…when Kayla was your mate you didn’t tell her to live with you. Why do I have to live with you?” Alexia asked. She was still putting up a last minute struggle. She really wasn’t happy with this arrangement at all. 

“Well, maybe it’s because we already knew deep down in our heart that she will never become our Luna. Stop looking for excuses. Come with us. I will never let you live in that house. You are coming with us and that’s the end of it Miles said. 

“Hey, what are you doing? Hurry up!” Someone said from behind Kayla and pushed her. 

Kayla turned to glare at who pushed her. All of the other girls and women were huddled together laughing and so she didn’t know who pushed her. She just glared at the nearest person to her. 

“Hey, who the heck are you glaring at? Do you want to get beaten up again? Was last night not enough for you?” The woman who Kayla glared at asked. 

“Do you know who I am?! My father is the beta! He’ll get me out of here in no time!” Kayla said. 

Ever since she arrived here in the dungeon, she had found a way to piss off everyone else who was in the same dungeon as her. She always bragged about how her father is the beta and how she’ll be getting out of here in no time. 

Her attitude made all of them angry and so Kayla was always picked on. Last night, someone had soaked her bed and beaten her up badly. It was dark and so Kayla had no idea who the person that beat her up was, just like how she had no idea who pushed her right now. 

But she wasn’t worried! She believed that her father will come for her soon. She will get to leave this place while they’ll be stuck here for the rest of their lives!. 

“I will like to see what your all powerful Father will do if I knock your head against the wall just now! How dare you?! Do you think that anyone cares about who your father is in here?! You little annoying bitch! I will teach you a lesson if you don’t learn how to respect others from now on the woman said. She had always wanted to knock some sense into Kayla because of her rude attitude. 

Kayla smirked as she looked down on the woman talking to her. she knows she will be out of here in no time and as for these people, they’ll be stuck here forever. 

“You know, I’m not like un here forever” Kayla said. 

I come from a wealthy family. My father will bail me out in no time. But you? You’ll be stuck in 

The inmate was fuming when she heard this, she badly wanted to bash Kayla’s head against a wall but she was scared of the 

consequences. 

“Oh, shut up! You think you’re so much better than us just because you have money? You’re still in jail just like the rest of us. And you have the nerve to insult me like that?” The woman asked—If she wasn’t afraid of getting punished, she would have killed this woman by now.

Kayla rolled her eyes, she will never take this woman seriously. After all, she is of the opinion that she is better than her.

The woman got up and stepped in Kayla’s face. 

“You better watch your mouth, rich girl. You don’t know what it’s like for people like us. We don’t have daddies who can bail us out whenever we get in trouble” she said. 

Kayla bumped into her when she head that. 

“You want to fight! Bring it on!” She said. She isn’t scared of her. She can take her on! 

The woman was more than ready to fight, of course! Bring it on!” 

Just then, the warden entered the hall. “What’s going on here?” He asked. He glared at Kayla. They had all heard about her reputation here and sincerely, he was tired of her. 

Nothing, sir” Kayla said. She had Suddenly gone calm. 

The woman who Kayla was arguing with though, was still angry. “This rich girl thinks she’s better than us. She insulted me and said she’ll be out of here soon because her father will bail her out she said. 

The warden turned to Kayla. He knows that she is more than capable of saying that but he still asked. “Is this true?” 

Kayla nodded her head. She did not even bother to deny it. 

“Yes, sir. My father is a wealthy man and he’s going to get me out of here” she said. She has a father who will bail her out of anything. Why should she not use him? 

The warden sighed, not knowing what to do with Kayla, he was just happy that she will be leaving soon. Then they won’t need to deal with her. 

“Your father is here to see you” he said.. 

Kayla wasn’t surprised at all but she still acted surprised just to annoy the other woman. 

“What? My father’s here? She asked. 

“Yes. He’s waiting for you in the visitor’s area. I suggest you go see him now” the warden said nodding his head. He badly just wants to get rid of Kayla. 

Kayla jumped up with a fake excitement.

The woman who Kayla was arguing with mused to herself sarcastically. 

“Of course, daddy’s little girl gets special treatment. Just leave us behind, why don’t you?” She said while rolling her eyes.

was so angry. 

The warden frowned. Kayla gets special treatment because she is the former beta’s daughter. Although he hates it, he can’t do anything about it. 

“That’s enough, inmate. You know the rules. No insults or threats towards other inmates” he said. 

The woman rolled her eyes “Sure, whatever she said. 

Kayla smiled smugly. “See you later, loser“. 

As Kayla leaves the cell, the inmate watches her go, feeling angry and frustrated. She knows that she’ll never have the privilege of having a wealthy father to bail her out of jail. But for now, she’s just glad that the situation didn’t escalate into a full–blown fight.
