Chapter 10, First look

Everyone ran, flew or stumbled their way upstairs reaching a large capsule that had came bursting through the side of the tower and had crashed into the floor. Gambur used his powers to patch up the tower and lift the capsule onto solid and not so broken ground. As he fixed it up everyone came to look over the Anti-Monad. Tim broke through the bodies in front of him as he also then looked down at it.

“Don’t none of you imbeciles even think of touching it. Unless you’d like to fall to the deepest pits of the emptiness.” said Gambur as he walked over and then picked up the large capsule by a handle at the top. “I’d only heard legends about it, I didn’t know it actually existed.” Fen said as they looked at it closer only for Gambur to flick them away with his staff. Gambur then took a look at it himself. The Anti-Monad was a giant red spherical ball with a black dot in the middle of it. Thats when the fairies began to dig through books and some even flying back to their home, even Beatrice began to start setting up for something.

“What does it do?” Tim asked

“Thats not information I can give to just anyone, this artifact is much more important than learning what that old dark king has schemed up.

Maybe when you come again, I’ll give you an answer. For now, go home.” Gambur said

“What? I still have a lot of questions. What if I-”

“Son, Its time to go. Things are getting a bit busy around here. I say lets head back and see what your mother is cooking up. I sure hope its some gumbo.” Tom said as he pat Tim’s back and the two began to leave the tower of Hurazu.

“Hold on, how are we-” but before he could even finish Tom covered his and Tim’s eyes and then spoke words that Tim didn’t understand. Suddenly the two were at the park again. It was the morning time, it was also quite chilly.

“Hey, Tim.” said a voice behind them, Tim turned around to see Stephanie. Tim would have fallen over if his grandfather wasn’t behind him.

“Hey stand up straight, ya don’t want to end up like me.” Tom said as he then called Tim’s mom and began to make his way towards his car. Stephanie looked at Tim and Tim looked at her. She was gorgeous to him. Her hair was a beautiful amber and it almost looked like the season, the leaves and even everything surrounding it. Looked to him like they were copying her color of hair. Eyes like dawn and skin like roses. She was wearing scarf and nice warm clothes as well. She was absolutely radiant to him.

“So hehe, what are y-” however right when Tim was about to start speaking, Stephanie then sneezed extremely hard and snot got on Tim’s hand. They both stood still for a moment before she then turned around and wiped her nose with Tim quickly wiping the snot off his hand. He then turned around to see the back of Stephanie’s head. She turned to look at him and gave a embarrassed smile.

“So what have you been doing this morning?” she asked him as the two walked to Tom’s car.

“...Uhh you wouldn’t believe me if I told you.” Tim answered immediately thinking of how lame of a answer that was. Seemed that Staphanie didn’t mind or wasn’t interested completely. Tim looked around, he noticed the cracks of the leaves beneath his feet an the humming of the leaves above his head as they still clung to the tree’s branches.

“Do you like this season of the year? I’m more of a summer guy, lets me go swimming and hiking.” Tim said as he stood in front of his grandfather’s car. Tom was watching impatiently, having his window rolled down to let some air in. Tom then watched as Tim waved goodbye to Stephanie as she walked away.

“Alright then see you around.” Tim said to her before getting in the car. He looked over to his grandfather who was completely unamused.

“What?” Tim asked.

“You suck at that.” Tom said as he pulled out and began driving towards Tim’s house. Eventually the two arrived back at the house, before Tim could get out Tom grabbed his shoulder.

“Listen son, it’s easy to get overwhelmed by what you just saw and want to return to a life where it doesn’t exist. Trust me...I know, but nothing good comes from forgetting. All it does is lead to a guilt conscious when you think about all you could have done after shit hits the fan.” Tom said as he pats Tim’s back. The two told each other they loved each other and then Tim went back inside his home. As Tim settled in back home, he began to think about everything he had seen from the tree of Endu, he laid down on the couch a bit as he tried to rethink everything he had been told.

“No, that can’t be true...I wish I could forget all of this.” Tim said as he put his hands on his face. He then could feel like something was staring at him, something that was watching. He looked around himself, he knew he was being watched, something didn't feel right. That was until he looked up through the skylight and saw it, the moon. It was shining through and looking directly at him. He could the moonlight shinning on him, on everyone. His eyes glared at it with questions and concern.

"Hello...child of man." said a ethereal voice, one that shook him to his very core, that when he knew. He couldn't forget.
