Chapter 17 — Zeus Point of view

I watch her entered my room. I have to do it, I have to tell him the truth. But why am I so nervous? “Because you're afraid of the outcome of keeping this from our mate.” My wolf said.

Maybe my wolf is right but she will not reject me, right?

"My King, you're asking for my presence?" She asks. She's still wearing that shirt given by a male wolf in the crowd.

My wolf wants to tear that shirt off her.

"Yes, I need to tell you something.” I said.

I pull my gloves off my hands. I look into her eyes and take my step forward. She looks nervous at this very moment. I need to do this... I need to tell her the truth.

"Look Kath, I've had been hiding something from you from the beginning. I just want you to know that all I did was necessary for the Kingdom." I said.

"I don't understand what are you talking about.” She said not looking into my eyes.

"You will understand.” I reach her hand and the electric that flows to out hand will tell her the truth. We made this agreement to create a battle to know who is the strongest female in the werewolf world and it's you. I'm sorry for keeping this to you." I said.

She pulls away immediately and slap me in the face.

"You coward! You trick me! I'm your mate but you make me do this. What if I didn't win this battle? What if I lost back there, are you going to tell me that you're my mate or not?" She said looking at me very angry.

"I don't know. I need to do it or else my father will force me to marry that girl."

"I don't need your explanation! I want you to answer YES OR NO!" She shouted.

"No." I honestly answered.

"You son of a bachelor! You will keep the truth on yourself and leave waiting for my mate to come but I am waiting for nothing because you already married to someone else! Blast you" she said turning her back and walk away. I grab her hand but she pulls it away.

"Kath listen to me. It's necessary!" I said.

"Necessary your face! Blast you, you son of a bachelor. LIER!" She outburst her anger to the vase in front of her and throw it to me. Luckily, I catch it before it hit the floor.

"Okay, I know you need your time. Your new room is next to mine. All your things are already in there." I said.

She just looks at me very mad. "If I can reject you I will right now, but my wolf wants you so be thankful, but I will not let you mark me.” She said banging the door to closed.

This is bad! I'm not used to this kind of thing but I what should I do? The mating ceremony will be held in full moon.

I am wrong keeping this to her. I need to gain her trust again. Damn! Why is it happening to me? I got a lot of this to do and this one added to my burden.

"Zeus, I need you to see this." He said.

I crumpled the paper and throw it away. He's here and he's threatening my mate. But why didn't I feel his presence if he is a rogue?

"Tyler, I think someone inside the castle is betraying us. We need to figure this out before they can touch my mate.” I said to him.

"But how can we even possibly catch the traitor?" He asks.

"I don't have any idea but soon I will figure this one out. Patrol day in night all over the area, if someone acting weird I'm going to kill it." I said.

"This is getting serious now Zeus. I think this one has a reason to do this. Do you know anyone who can do this?" Tyler.

I think for a while but all I can think is to protect Katharina from this.

"I don't have any suspect now but we will figure this one soon.”

"How about Katharina? Are you telling this to her?" Tyler.

"I don't know, we are not in good shape right now. She might throw every single thing in her room to me." I said.

Tyler laugh at me that cause me to embarrass more. "That girl surely has balls to do that to you, but Zeus, she deserves to know this."

"I know. I'll talk to her tomorrow. Right now, she needs time for herself." I said

"Good luck Zeus." He said leaving me laughing.

This one is getting serious, that man is threatening my mate. What does he mean that my mate will be his soon. I am getting mad thinking of what possibly they will do to her.

My wolf is getting high alert now and he keeps back and forth inside of me saying that we need to protect our mate and we need to mark her to create a strong bond between me and Katharina.

A knock on the door wake me from my thoughts. My Mother enter the room with a big smile. "How's everything my Son?"

"Hard."

"Why? Is she mad at you now?" She said looking worried.

"She's mad at me because I already told her that we are real mates. She gets mad told me that she will not let me mark her." I said.

"That's serious but you know what my Son, don't give up and don't let her ruin this. Her hate will fade away. All you need to do is provoke and make her jealous. Remember you're her mate. The bond is stronger than everything.” She said.

"Mother what is your plan?" I asked. Knowing that my Mother knows how to tame this little mate of mine make me excited.

"Well its simple. Keep your attitude as what it is then make her jealous.”

"You think that will work?" I said.

"She's a girl my dear, don't let her tame you. Instead tame her and make her want you." She said. "Thanks Mother, this is a great idea. I just need to provoke her." I said and she hug me before she left.
