I have never seen all the pack members gathered before. It is a little intimidating. We are standing on a podium built especially for tonight. We oversee hundreds of Pack members standing before us. I hold Igétas’ hand tightly. He squeezes my hand, reassuring me that everything will be okay.

I feel his calm energy flowing through our mating bond. That is what I need. Especially when I look to our right, where the current Alpha and Luna are standing, nicely draped in a suit and formal dress. We are standing here, me in my jeans and shirt and Igétas sporting a working Beta look, which includes a basic shirt and shorts. I was so busy thinking about what we should say, that clothing wasn’t on my mind. Let’s hope the Pack doesn’t mind.

Alpha Tharros is the first to speak. Telling everyone about the changes coming and the choice they should make. It doesn’t matter which Pack you prefer, everyone needs to contribute to the new Pack. Both Packs are separate, but the facilities and jobs will be shared. A warrior or doctor can be assigned to both Packs, etcetera.

“Now, we will talk about our plans and intentions, and you should follow the leader you feel will be the most suitable for your wolf and your family.” Tharros takes a step forward with Yolanda’s hand in his.

“I took care of you all when my parents died in the attack. I rose to the occasion and made a commitment to keep you all safe and rebuild the Pack. I wanted to be the leader you deserve, and did everything in my power to do so. Your Luna and I made changes to be more modern and financially stable. We will be using the strengths we’ve learned over the years and the lessons from the past.”

I see a lot of Pack members nodding their heads. Agreeing with his words. Those heads are also almost all warriors and have followed him closely. They were also on the ‘’anti-Violet’’ campaign.

“If you decide to stay with me, I promise you the commitment I have shown and more.” He kisses Yolanda extravagantly showing off their union. Then Yolanda takes a step forward.

“I stand with my mate. I will be there for everyone who needs my Luna service. It doesn’t matter if you have chosen our Pack or not, we will create a friendly environment for everyone. You are welcome.”

She takes a step back, joining Tharros, and everyone claps their hands.

There’s a calm feeling flowing over from Igétas to me. Then he lets my hand go, and takes a stand at the front of the stage.

“When my parents died, my brother offered to take the place of Alpha. Not because I didn’t care about you, but because I cared. My wolf wasn’t developed enough to take over. Now he is. Thanks to my lovely mate who came wandering in our world, sent by the Goddess herself.” He looks over his shoulder and I follow his lead, joining him.

“My wolf has grown over the last couple of months and is stronger than ever. He survived the heat of a golden tier mate bond…” A lot of gasps can be heard. The fact that we believe we are golden tier mates was a secret. But now it isn’t necessary to keep it hidden anymore. “He became stronger every day he couldn’t mate with his female. And I can’t wait to find out how it feels to be mated to this wonderful human, who saved us more than once. If you choose me to be your Alpha, I will put the Pack first and try to become better every day. I will take my rightful place as Alpha and you are welcome to become a part of that.”

Some Pack members aren’t recovered from the bombshell dropped in the speech, including Tharros, who looks emotionless. I can’t read his face, when it seemed by his first expression he was so determined to win this thing.

Now, it is my time to claim my spot as a Luna.

“Most of you will never accept me as your Luna, just because I don’t have a wolf. So, I will not be speaking to you. I speak to the ones who want to give me the chance of being a Luna. In the last couple of months, I had my world turned upside down. I had my obstacles to conquer...” I look over the crowd and spot my favorite people. Ela, standing behind a wheelchair with Welton who is thankfully healing. Amanda standing to the right, almost hidden behind Sweaty Chris.

“Goddess, it was like a rollercoaster with only loops to go through. First the single rogue attack, which brought me closer to your world. The overpowering of your pack by rogues, Igétas coming to me and telling me I am his mate. Accepting the fact that the Pack didn’t want me here and some of you never will. I conquered so many things to just live my life here. The Goddess gave me a mate to love and I will do that. I will be your Luna and help you where I can. If you want Igétas as your Alpha, but you aren’t sure about me, remember, I saved the Pack more than once, and I will do it again in a heartbeat.”

I take a deep breath. It isn’t easy to say those things without getting pissed off. But if life throws you a curveball, you swing back. I just hope that there are enough players in the field to help me out.

“I will be there for you all and if you can’t find me, you’ll always see me next to Igétas, my place.”

I symbolically take a step back. This was not a practiced move. But I like it, and Igétas does as well. He gives me a chuckle.
