Chapter 58 

Hymes did something for Giselle that she never thought he would do, giving her a strong sense of security. 

Although Giselle didn’t mind if other women sat in the passenger seat of Hymes‘ car, she felt respected and cared for by Hymes thoughtful actions. 

Hymes always considered her and her role as his wife, no matter the situation. 

Giselle couldn’t help but think back to when she was dating Mickey, who used to fantasize about what kind of car he would buy in the future, the make and model, and he even planned to take everyone for a spin. 

Mickey never seemed to have this level of consideration. 

Although Giselle never cared about it, she now saw the difference between people. 

It was clear whether Mickey pursued her for pure affection or because having her as a girlfriend looked good. 

But Hymes was different. Everything he did was based on their relationship and caring for Giselle.

Hymes cautioned in a deep voice, “Don’t eat too much spicy food. Your stomach might not handle it well.” 

Lately, Hymes had been cooking dishes that suited Giselle’s taste, but they were milder, so her stomach had adapted to lighter fare. Now, suddenly indulging in barbecue… 

Hymes was worried she might not be able to handle it and spoke up. 

But Giselle brushed it off. “It’s fine! In college, Kila and I could eat spicy food for a whole week without any discomfort!” 

Hymes chuckled. “That was when you were younger, so it didn’t matter.” 

“I’m not old now, okay?” Giselle pouted at Hymes. “Are you saying I’m already old?” 

“Of course not. In my eyes, you’ll always look young.” 

“You’re such a sweet–talker. Who taught you these lines, or are all insurance professionals just naturally sweet talkers?” 

Hymes smiled faintly. “Only for you.” 

Giselle didn’t believe him and continued to complain while dipping her skewers into hot sauce. “Do you have a lot of female clients? They must be easily swayed by your handsome face, huh?” 

Using one’s physical appearance to one’s advantage wasn’t wrong, just as Giselle would flaunt her beauty during negotiations, which would create advantages for her in certain situations. 

It was human nature, and there was nothing to shy away from. 

But Bymes didn’t admit to it, simply saying, “It’s not a big deal.”
