Chapter 69 

Giselle was too shy to describe how she felt at that moment, even though the lingering warmth of that kiss had faded. 

But her soul seemed to tremble for that fleeting touch. 

[It felt much better than I expected.] Giselle said. 

Kila sighed. [You can tell your husband is great just by looking at him. You’ve got to hold onto such a good man and not let anyone steal him away.] 

Giselle responded: [If someone could take him away, what’s the point of me being here?] 

[Well, that’s not exactly the point. Even though you trust him enough, you should still be cautious… you never know who might try something sneaky.] 

Kila, being a lawyer, had dealt with many divorce cases and had seen too many once–loving couples turn bitter during the process. 

So her reminders were indeed out of concern for Giselle. 

[I know, but I still want to trust him!] Giselle said. 

Since she was already married to Hymes, she would wholeheartedly maintain their relationship. 

Changing the subject, Giselle added: [Tomorrow I’ll go out with him. Next time, I’ll see if there’s a chance to invite Mr. Desmund.] 

[You’re such a good friend! You’re still thinking of me even now!] Kila exclaimed. 

Giselle laughed softly, staring at her phone. Kila had told her about the awkward situation when she left with Neville. 

Although it was a complete failure, and Kila didn’t get any useful information from Neville, she hadn’t given up hope yet. 

If there were a next time, she believed she would perform better. 

Giselle took her friend’s words to heart and hoped to help out without causing trouble for Hymes. 

Looking forward to their day out, Giselle went to bed early and didn’t live stream.

The next morning, Giselle got up and prepared herself. After washing up, she put on light makeup, with a touch of pink on her lips that made her look fresh and youthful. Her fair skin was flawless.

As she came downstairs, Hymes‘ gaze lingered on her, wrapping her in a thick, heated embrace. 

Giselle’s heart raced, and she hurriedly went down the stairs. “I’m starving. Is breakfast ready?”

Although Giselle had never tried it, she often watched Formula 1 races during college and yearned for the thrill of such high–speed excitement. 

This was probably the least known part of Giselle’s personality, even her ex–boyfriend Mickey, whom she had been dating for over a year, had no idea. 

After all, most of the time, Giselle led a well–ordered life, having studied her way from a small town to a big city, and then settling down here. She needed to support herself and contribute to her family. 

So, she didn’t have much energy to fully indulge in her passions. 

Even her job had made her less enthusiastic about going out. On weekends, she preferred staying at home, becoming more and more of a homebody. 

But deep down, there still remained an unyielding youthful spirit, which Hymes had managed to bring out enurely. 

Hymes replied, “There was a Formula 1 race on TV just a few days ago. You were glued to it for a long time, so I thought you’d be interested in this

Giselle was completely surprised by his plan. “How did you manage to do this?” 

She recalled that such places usually didn’t allow visitors on the racetrack. Giselle had previously visited another international race circuit but could only walk around the grandstand. 

Or explore some empty backstage areas, but never set foot on the racetrack itself. 

So the fact that Hymes could arrange this for her was both a surprise and a delight.
