4 Wallflower

There were clear proofs, and it would be hard for Chloe to get out of this. She couldn’t pretend or release a memo refuting the news. Her face was caught on camera

At first, the main source of the news had posted pictures with hints before finally revealing Chloe as the celebrity.

“A public figure has deceived us all by pretending to be pure and caring, instead, she hogs the public healthcare services and wastes valuable resources”

The first article soon made headlines and it was shared everywhere alongside a blurred picture of Chloe.

Immediately she saw the news, Chole knew it was referring to her. At first, she prayed the blogger wouldn’t reveal her name and went on to send a mail, but instead, the blogger only went further.

She doesn’t only waste resources, she also dates a married man without caring about the wife’s feelings. Chloe Oliver, stop being a two–faced bitch.

Internet trolls had a feast on this. Screenshots were flying all over, and soon, some individuals went on to edit her scenes in movies she had starred in, picking on every single mistake she made. The blogger went ahead to support his claims with William’s and Chloe’s kiss in the hospital room.

Chole’s fan base became divided. Some supported her, saying it was the man’s fault and she might not be aware he was married. The rest however called her out, expressing disappointment in her choice of relationship.

Now, Lea and Amelia were awake. Lea had made them honey tea for the hangover, and as she sipped on it, she read out comments from the blog to Amelia.

I’m disappointed in you, Chloe.”

“Chloe is a disgrace to women.”

“I hope she suffers for doing this to a fellow woman.”

“You will always have my support, Chloe.”

“She always loved being in the papers, I hope she enjoys this even more.” Lea snickered, washing her plates.

She had appointments today and had to leave early. She couldn’t afford to be late.

“I think she must have crossed someone, or someone is out for her. It’s weird that she’s facing so much backlash in a go.”

Amelia didn’t think it was normal for her to be getting so many negative comments. Plus, for the blogger to have gotten picture proof, it was likely that Chloe had a stalker, or someone wanted to destroy her career.

I could care even less, honey. It serves her right. I wouldn’t care for anyone that makes you unhappy.” Lea replied, turning to smile at Amelia.

“I’d have loved to drive you to your audition, but I have some appointments that can not be rescheduled. But, I’ll check on you during the day. Take care of yourself, sweetie.”

With that, Lea left the house, leaving Amelia all alone. She had an audition scheduled for later in the day. It was for an animation.

The director, Mr. Jones had auditioned many for the voice role of the white witch but hadn’t gotten the perfect voice for the witch. He needed someone who could mimic and change voices as the scene required every voice he auditioned didn’t fit what he wanted.

After expressing dissatisfaction to some colleagues, one of them sent him Wallflower’s portfolio, and he being impressed was an understatement. He was blown away. He couldn’t believe someone could have a voice so perfect and he immediately reached out to Wallflower who turned out to be Amelia. However, only a few people knew this

Amelia had a great online presence as Wallflower, but she was anonymous. No one knew what she looked like nor did they have any guesses what she was.

Some time ago, a rumor broke out that she hid her face because she was ugly and had a hideous look, but Amelia didn’t come out to refute it. She let everyone believe whatever they thought, and soon the rumor stopped making headlines.

Also, she always wore a nose mask or glasses whenever she went for auditions in a bid to disguise herself, making many people really curious about her looks.

After lazing around for a while, Amelia finally decided to get set for the audition. She had taken her bath earlier and only had to get dressed.

She settled for a black knee–length gown and styled her hair in curls. Then, she picked up her shoulder purse and headed out.

In the building’s lobby, Mr. Jones’s assistant stood waiting for Wallflower. As she waited, she talked to other assistants, debating if Wallflower was ugly like the rumors once said.

“Maybe she’s just a private person.” One of them sent. From her previous replies, she didn’t sound like she was interested in the discussion.

The assistant, Sophie, was about to send a reply when she noticed a gorgeous woman step into the lobby. She had silky hair which complimented her black dress. Her body portions were perfect, and for a brief second, Sophie wondered if she was Wallflower,

However, she dismissed the thought. Why would someone have a face so perfect and decide to stick to voice acting?

“Please, can you show me to the voice audition room?” Amelia asked as she closed the distance between herself and Sophie.

“Are you Wallflower?” Sophie asked and Amelia nodded, smiling at her.

Sophie didn’t realize when she mouthed a wow. Unlike what most people thought, Wallflower was very gorgeous. She couldn’t wait to tell others what she just found out.

Sophie led Amelia to the audition room still in awe. She stood by the door and texted the room, telling them how beautiful Wallflower was

“Believe me when I tell you her beauty is blinding. She’s way prettier than Chloe.” Then she sent the message.

“Wow. That’s a surprise. But do you have to make a comparison with Chole?”

Sophie was about to reply to the message when she heard footsteps behind her. She had a guess, and she guessed correctly. It was no one but Mr. Noah.

He was Mr Jones’s biggest rival, and always saw everything as a competition. He heard about how Mr Jones was trying to recruit Wallflower, and he had come to see. He wanted to know if she was as good as they said.

“Mr. Noah. Good afternoon.” Sophie greeted, tucking a hair strand behind her ear. She hoped he wasn’t here to cause any trouble.

“Good afternoon, Sophie. Is Wallflower not here yet?” He asked, looking straight into Sophie’s eyes.  Sᴇaʀch Thᴇ Find ɴøᴠel.nᴇt website on Gøøglᴇ to access chapters of novels early and in the highest quality.

Sophie shuddered. “She is. Mr. Jones is auditioning her at the moment.”

Right on cue, Amelia and Mr. Jones stepped out of the audition room.

“Thank you, Mr. Jones. I look forward to working with you.” Amelia shook his hand and bowed a bit.

But Mr. Noah wouldn’t have it.

“Are you trying to tell me you’re done with the audition? It didn’t even take you ten minutes yet.”

Sophie heaved a sigh. Mr. Noah was here again with his issues. Why did he have to come so soon?

“Do you have a problem with that? I’m the one auditioning for the voice roles, and I have the final say.” Mr. Jones’s reply was sharp and the tension was thick

“If you think you’re not pleased, you can audition me on your own.”

Mr. Noah didn’t pay attention to Amelia earlier, but immediately he heard her speak to him, he tore his eyes away from Mr. Jones and faced her.

“Wallflower?” Mr. Noah asked and Amelia nodded. Then he took her hand and placed a kiss.

I believe Mr. Jones has made the right decision.”

Sophie whistled in her head. She never would have guessed Mr. Noah would become so docile. Well, she couldn’t blame him. She was also swept off her feet by Amelia’s voice and beauty.
