Chapter 24

Zachary stayed in Maple Estates.

He could tell that Charlotte didn’t want to go back to Superb Estates. It was her nightmares from

two years ago

And Charlotte didn’t want him to stay in Maple Estates either.

However, Zachary was a domineering man, and he turned a blind eye to her unwillingness.

Besides, Charlotte made Jerry a promise anyway. Therefore, Charlotte’s hands were tied. She decided to treat Zachary as invisible, though they lived in the same place

The next morning came.

When the servants in Maple Estates saw Zachary, they were all delighted. Clearly, they knew nothing of what had happened two years before.  S~ᴇaʀᴄh the FindNøvᴇl.nᴇt website on Gøøglᴇ to access chapters of novels early and in the highest quality.

Everyone was happy when they saw Zachary and Charlotte together.

“Any plans for today?” Zachary asked her.

Charlotte said casually,

“None of your concerns.”

That was how she treated Zachary for now.

She ignored him most of the time. And when she talked to him, she picked on him.

Zachary pulled a long face. He put his milk glass on the table heavily.

Charlotte looked at Zachary with sharp eyes. “If you’re so unhappy with your meal, you might as well skip it. Don’t waste our food.”

No one asked him to be here.

Zachary looked back, his eyes flickering.

Charlotte didn’t bother talking to him. She just had her meal.

She was good at irritating people. Finally, Zachary was so pissed that he left.

“Charlotte, I think he cares about you a lot. Why are you making it difficult for him?” Julie Brown

said. She used to take care of Charlotte’s mother and grandmother.

After Charlotte returned, she found the acquaintances back as well.

Hearing Julie’s question, Charlotte froze a bit. She had mixed feelings.

Was she the one he cared about?

They married two years ago because it was what Jerry wanted. And she only found out at last that she wasn’t what Zachary wanted. Not at all.

Then what about this time?

Charlotte didn’t care. She would leave as soon as she found out about what happened to Nell. She would never give Zachary another chance to plot against her.

Charlotte was about to get out.

She saw a Bugatti parked in the yard.

It was eye–catching.

Leo stepped out of the car and greeted Charlotte respectfully, “Mrs. Sullivan.”

Charlotte disliked the title, and she pulled a long face.

But she didn’t correct Leo. She just said, “Anything? If not, I’ll be leaving now.”

Then she walked to the car left by Gordon. Compared with flashy cars, she favored those grand

ones.

Leo stepped forward and handed her the car keys.

He said, “Mr. Sullivan said that small cars are more suitable for women. Let me scrap the car for

you.”

“Who the hell does he think he is?” Charlotte said coldly, turned, and went straight into her car.

Scrap it?

Zachary was the one who should be scrapped!

Leo was somehow stunned by Charlotte’s words. After all, when Charlotte and Zachary were together, she was always well–educated, gentle, and polite.

She was well–raised, and she was of good qualities cultivated by her parents.

Leo thought he would never have heard Charlotte cursing.

What happened to her these years?

Without waiting for Leo to react, Charlotte left directly. In Leo’s eyes, she was particularly,

the car.

Yet, somehow she looked like a badass.

Zachary pulled a long face after he got Leo’s call.
