Chapter 9 

“I don’t have many hobbies, but smoking is one of them. I can’t quit,” Magnus said, deliberately lighting a cigarette. “So don’t force yourself, no matter what.” 

“You…” said Xylia. She was so angry that she was about to go crazy. 

“My goodness! How did I end up encountering such a scoundrel!” thought Xylia in anger. 

“Forget about smoking, but you must follow the other two rules, especially the first one. You absolutely cannot go to the second floor without permission,” said Xylia.

In Xylia’s view, Magnus must have committed a significant crime, but Zane didn’t have enough evidence to arrest him directly. 

So Zane placed that guy next to her, hoping she could secretly find some clues.

Accidentally, a plan quite similar to Zane’s was discovered by Xylia. 

“How could he not be here? Could it be that I deduced it wrongly?” muttered Xylia to herself. 

Xylia browsed several times but didn’t see Magnus‘ profile picture. 

Suddenly, she was filled with disappointment.

“No way! That guy definitely had a problem,” muttered Xylia. 

Xylia was extremely certain. 

She put on a coat, gently opened the door, and tiptoed towards Magnus‘ room. 

“Did you miss me…” laughed a woman. 

Just as Xylia approached Magnus‘ room door, a woman’s voice came from inside, and it was extremely suggestive! 

Xylia’s face turned red instantly. In the blink of an eye, her body exuded undeniable anger that she couldn’t hide. 

“How long had they been upstairs? This jerk brought a woman to my house!” thought Xylia angrily. 

Meanwhile, in the room, Magnus was sitting in front of the computer, having a video call with a foreign beauty who had brown eyes and wavy hair, appearing charming and sexy. 

“Did you miss me?” asked the beauty. 

“Not so much!” Magnus said with a faint smile. 

“Then should I come over to you?” the woman asked again. 

Magnus shook his head and said, “That’s not necessary. I just want to live a normal life now.” 

The woman laughed again. 

The woman smiled charmingly and said, “Does living a normal life mean you can’t meet me? Or are you worried that you won’t be able to control yourself after seeing me?” 

“Monica, if you came over as a friend, I would be very welcoming, but…” said Magnus. 

Magnus‘ expression suddenly changed, and he added coldly, “If you have any other intentions, I advise you not to come.” 

In the video, Monica was about to say something. 

Bang! The room door was kicked open by someone. 

“Jerk!” A furious roar was heard. 

Immediately after, Xylia, with a face full of anger and hands on her hips, walked in and said, “This place isn’t a hotel…”

“What’s it to you?” Magnus said irritably. 

Then he stood up and walked over to Xylia before asking, “What are you doing in my room late at night?” 

At this point, he gave a mischievous smile and said, “Is it because the night is long and lonely, and with no one to accompany you, you want me to join you for a romantic night?” 

“You… You’re shameless!” Xylia cursed and then kicked Magnus in the groin.

Magnus hadn’t expected the woman to suddenly attack, so he quickly stepped back a few paces. If he hadn’t reacted fast enough, his buddy might have been injured. 

“Damn it!” cursed Magnus. 

Magnus suddenly felt a surge of anger, and in a flash, he appeared in front of Xylia. 

“What do you want to do…” asked Xylia. 

Before Xylia could finish speaking, Magnus grabbed her with one hand. 

“Ha!” she sneered with a disdainful smile at the corner of her mouth. 

She had been practicing combat arts since she was young. In the entire Sixth Division, no one could compete with her, except for Zane. 

As Xylia’s body suddenly retreated, her long legs swept out to strike him immediately.
