I can't sleep.

Everyone else is snoring away and I'm not even tired.

How am I even supposed to sleep when I have to go and see Zac without telling anyone?

Everyone else was downstairs whilst I was curled up next to Nathaniel in my own bed. Part of me knows what's going to happen tomorrow but I don't want to believe it.

Zac wants to start the war early, probably catch me off guard or something thinking that I still can't control my powers.

Well, he's completely wrong. I know full well how to control them, and he doesn't even realise how strong I actually am. Even when I'm not using the power from my necklace.

I've realised something though, which I found out a few weeks back when I was trying to use its power is that the necklace is a backup plan.

During the war, if I can't defeat Satan with my own strength and magic then I need to use the power from my necklace which was gifted to me by my parents.

However, in doing so I need to let it take control of me, which means sacrificing myself anyway as it will slowly destroy me from the inside because no human is meant to have that sort of power.

I'm guessing my future self doesn't use it, and I'm hoping this one doesn't too. Although I think Zac knows this.

"That's it, I'm getting a shower" I whisper to myself.

Making my way to the bathroom quietly so I don't wake Nathaniel, I turned it on and stepped in starlight away.

As the hot water hit my skin I close my eyes and remember what happened between me and Nathaniel.

Let's just say he finally lost his virginity, and oh my god it was amazing. My legs still feel like jelly and the pain between my legs is still there.

For an angel, he's a devil in bed.

Picking up my coconut shampoo ready to wash my hair I heard a creak behind me so I spun around holding the bottle up ready to squirt at the intruder.

"Don't underestimate my shampoo"

When I faced the other way, pouring some on my hair to wash I felt his arms circle around my waist.

"Why are you having a shower at 3 in the morning?"

"I can't sleep" I turned my head to the side to glance at him.

"How come" one of his fingers started to glide across my skin.

"Just thinking, and I'm not really tired"

He smirked "didn't I tire you out before?" then I turned around so I could see him properly

He took a step forward making me step back.

"Not quite" I whispered, dipping my head so he couldn't see me blushing

His fingers tilted my head up, staring into my eyes then casually looking me up and down as he growled.

"Well we will just have to change that then won't we" before I could register what he said I was pushed against the cold tiled wall.

"What are you doing?" I gasped.

I couldn't help but look him up and down, water trickling down his abs and his hair stuck to his forehead.

Mature scene

He bit his lip.

Within seconds I was lifted in the air, my legs wrapping around his waist and my arms around his neck so I didn't fall.

His lips connect with mine making me moan into his mouth, "I want you" he murmurs.

"Take me then"

He slams into me making me scream, thank god for soundproof walls now.

Nathaniel quickens his pace as he bites down into my shoulder, as he pulls back his eyes lock onto mine and I couldn't look away.

Then his lips brush over mine again "I love you, Athena, I'll love you forever"

My heart skips a beat hearing them words roll off his tongue like I've never heard them before.

We just stare at each other, and the thought of ever leaving him kills me.

"I love you too" my voice trembled, trying to hold back the tears.

I pull him closer so I can kiss him, his deep thrusts start again hitting every inch of my walls. I lean my head back.

"Oh god, Nathanial I... " I shout.

Knowing what I was trying to say, the words unable to leave my mouth. He starts to pound into me even harder which I didn't even know was possible.

My whole body convulses in his arms, my core contracting around him.

"Come for me baby" He groans into my ear, his fingers digging into my skin. I drag my nails down his back as I shout his name probably leaving marks behind.

When he reaches his own release a few minutes later I'm barely able to hold onto him.

He slowly pulls out of me, then eases be down till I'm on my feet. I lean against the wall so I don't fall to the floor.

"Tired now?" I giggled.

"Most definitely"

He gave me a long deep kiss then looked at me as he took a step back, grabbing a towel and handing it to me.

"Nathaniel"

"Yeah?"

"How come Angels can have babies but Demons can't?"

"Not all angels can, it's uncommon but it's possible. Demons are dead and yeah technically we are too but evil beings don't deserve happiness"

I took the towel off him and wrapped it around my body, the fluffy material feeling soft against my skin.

"I think I'm going to spend some time with Elijah and Arlo tomorrow, till I have to go and meet... Er... Go out somewhere.."

I tried moving around Nathaniel but he gripped my arm gently to stop me and tilted my head up.

"Athena what aren't you telling me" He questioned me.

There's no way I can tell him, I can't tell anyone cause I know for a fact they will stop me. To be honest the only person I can actually tell is Marax.

He won't be happy but I know he won't stop me.

"I can't tell you.."

"Athena please" He cupped my face bringing us closer together.

"Do you trust me?"

A single tear slid down my cheek seeing his eyes glisten.

"Of course I trust you"

"Then don't make me tell you, just please promise me something" He nodded.

"Protect my family and friends, no matter what"

"Athena you're not making sense..."

"Just promise me"

Everything was silent, just our quiet breathing was heard throughout the bathroom.

"I promise"

Then we kissed like it was our last.

"Good morning you two"

Everyone had left apart from Elijah and Arlo, I wanted to spend some time with them and get to know them.

"Morning mum" They mumbled as they were stuffing chocolate chip pancakes into their mouth.

"Wait who made them?"

Arlo pointed at Elijah and I smiled brightly. They love chocolate just like me, and he can cook. Any good would be lucky to have him.

"Did you..."

"There's some on the side for you too mum" I jumped up and down happily running over to them.

"Yano it's weird seeing you my age," Arlo said.

"You're sixteen too? So how old are you?"

Elijah swallowed his pancake and turned to me "I'm eighteen almost 19"

I nodded "Can you both tell me a little about yourselves?"

Arlo was the first to start "I'm 16, birthday is the 14th May, erm I like chocolate"

"You aren't good at this stuff are you" I smiled as he shrugged.

Elijah hit Arlo at the back of his head earning an elbow to the stomach.

"Elijah, how old would I be in your world?"

"You would be 34, why? Fuck sake Arlo why did you punch me... Oh"

Wait if I'm 34 in his future then that means I would have been 17 when I had him. Oh my god no, that can't be right.

"Wait are you saying I'm... No that can't be right"

I started pacing the kitchen, hands in my hair pulling at the ends. Nope, I don't believe it. My brothers will kill me.

"Mum you're pregnancy is a little different with me then it was with Arlo, I'm part angel but he's fully human" He tried calming me down but I ran.

"MUM" they both shouted me but I was already out the door.

My legs carried me as fast as I could, I can't get my head around this. Everything is just getting way too much.

I could hear the beeping of cars, people chattering amongst themselves but all I could think about was how messed up my life is right now.

Suddenly I crashed against someone and fell to the floor hitting my bum harshly.

The sun was beaming down on me, heating up my skin. Covering just above my eyes trying to shield the brightness so I could see who I ran into.

My blood ran cold.
