"Why she is not waking up?" I ask the nth time to Bea.

"I don't know Ezra. Physically she is fine but coma is a special state and we are not sure when she will wake up."

"I need more than that!" I reply punching the wall and making a hole.

She looks at me with worries. In my peripheral vision, I see a nurse with a syringe ready to take action if I don't calm down.

I sigh: " Sorry. It's just my wolf and I are worried. We just found her and we don't want to lose her. And we're frustrated because we want answers from her."

"I know Erza and I will do everything I can to give you more information on her state. We find something on her but I can't tell you now. We will speak when your parents will be here. Meanwhile, you can go see her. She is back in her room."

"Thank you, Bea."

She doesn't need to tell me her room number, I just need to follow her sweet scent. Since we found out that Lana is our mate, my wolf is quiet but even if he doesn't speak to me I can feel his mixed feelings: the happiness that we finally found her, worries about her, doubts if she really wants us. I just want to have some answers. I'm in her room for less than 5 minutes when someone knocks. It's Asher.

"Did you know she was my mate? Did you lie about that too?" I ask instead of answering his question.

He sighs: " I have my doubts but every time I try to push her to tell me the truth she denied it and told me she doesn't have a mate. Well, she said she can't have one."

"Physically she's fine but she's not waking up and they don't when she will."

My parents just arrived in the hospital and we’re waiting for Bea to tell us what they discover on Lana. After my father explained how Lana probably drained all her energy, Bea said she will speak with Noah to see what we can do to help her. Mom looks at me as she knows something that I don’t.

“We have something else we need to discuss but Ezra I would for you to take wolfbane before. I don’t want you to have a force shift.” Bea says looking at me warily.

“I will not!” I reply, my wolf surfaced already.

“Either you take it or you leave the room.” Dad tells me.

“But Dad-“ I start but he cuts me.

“I know Bea if she will not ask you to take wolfbane if it was not necessary.”

“Fine!” I conceded too curious to leave the room.

As she pinches me and I’m already feeling my wolf weakened. She explains: “ It’s a small dose. You will be affected for an hour only. You will have to let your wolf go out after to eliminate it. And you will need it.”

“You’re scaring me.” I tell her.

“I know... Leo told me how you’re thinking she has a terrible past and that she is hiding for someone.” Bea starts we all nod so she keeps going: “well, someone tried to mark her. She has a bitten mark on her left shoulder. It’s almost where your mate is marking you. The bite is big. I could be a Lycan mark... I’ve never a bitten mark like that before.”

I’m shaking at that news. I walk towards Lana’s bed and open her blouse to see her shoulder. You can clearly see a big bitten mark. Oh, my goddess!

Bea didn’t give me enough wolfbane and I can already feel my wolf taking over so I run out of the hospital before I shift. All I can feel right now is fury and sorrow.

“Nobody will take mate away from us!” My wolf says.

“Yeah. We will kill whoever dares to try, Lycan or not!” I agree with him.
