Liliane looked at Billy, tears welling up in her eyes, and replied, "Dad, I truly didn't know he was my father! But don't worry, even if Shane is my biological father, you will always be my dad."

Although Billy had no money, shares, or material possessions, Liliane still had to put on a show. He was easily manipulated, so she hoped to manipulate him to the point where he would bring Esther's heart to her. Once she received Esther's heart through a transplant, she could finally live a normal life. With such a useful tool, why wouldn't she use it?
