Esther's mind replayed past moments like scenes from a movie. Bradley's previous actions hinted that he might not care about Tinkerbell's life and death because he was aware she was not his child. "Esther," Anna called out. "I got you a sandwich. Have this first."

Anna had entrusted Sunshine and Felix to Jacob's care as they were having a good time at the Sandersons'. She came to support Esther because the DNA test results were almost ready.

Esther took the sandwich from Anna, looking at her with sorrowful eyes. "Anna, Pixie is my daughter, right?" she asked in agony.

Anna took a thermos of coffee from her bag and reassured Esther, "Yes, Pixie is your daughter, without a doubt."

"But she doesn't want me." Esther took a bite of the sandwich and said worryingly, "She doesn't want me! She said I'm a bad person!"

Anna did not know how to comfort Esther and could only tell her gently, "Have something to eat first. The new DNA test results will be out soon."

"Mm." Esther was in the worst mood, unable to enjoy the sandwich. She could only chew mechanically.
