transaction after the auction.”
The attendant glanced at Nash and then smiled. “Miss Sonders, the
Heaven Boxes allow a credit limit of only 50 billion. This pendant has
exceeded that limit. Moreover, the auction rules state that items
exceeding 50 billion must be immediately transacted.”
Eva looked at Nash helplessly and said, “I’ll call Ms. Roxy. She should
be able to help you with the advance payment out of consideration of
my relationship with her.”
She certainly did not think Nash was out of money. Even if he could
not come up with the money now, it would only be temporary. All the
pills at tonight’s auction belonged to him. He would immediately
