Patrick had just finished reading a document when he saw Violet enter the room. He looked up and smiled. “You’re awake. Do you want to eat something?”
Violet pouted. “No need. I’ll have lunch with you later!”
As she spoke, she walked over and pulled out a chair. She sat in front of Patrick and asked curiously, “I saw that the butler is arranging for someone to carry a box inside the house. He said you were giving me a surprise. What is it?”
Patrick glanced at Violet and smiled. “You’ll find out later!”
Violet was unhappy. “Why are you acting just like the butler!”
