I smiled at Aiden while he climbed into my truck. Classes were over for the day, so I was picking him up to take him out.

“You ready to meet Ailith?” I asked once we were on the road. He looked down at his lap but smiled.

“I guess. I am a bit nervous. But you’ll be there so I know that I’ll be safe.” It looked like he had a lot on his mind like he was keeping something from me.

“You alright Sugar?” I asked holding my hand out for him to hold. He smiled and took my hand.

“I’m fine, I promise.” He smiled and squeezed my hand.

I left him alone after that and we drove in comfortable silence until we reached the packhouse.

Aiden got out before me, so I had to jog to catch back up with him. “Seriously, if something is wrong, tell me. You don’t have to meet Ailith today, we can just go upstairs and cuddle.” Aiden sighed and turned to me.

“I promise that I am up to meeting Ailith. I want to meet your friends. If it gets too much, I’ll tell you.” He seemed uncomfortable so I let it go and grabbed his hand to lead him to the backyard.

“Blue!” Ailith yelled once we were in her sights. She quickly ran over and punched me in the arm.

“Ow?!” I said, “What the fuck?”

“Like I said if I’m gonna be your Beta you need to expect the unexpected.” she shrugged, Aiden looked a little uncomfortable, so I wrapped my arm around his waist.

“Ailith. This is Aiden, my mate, and your future Luna. Sugar, this is Ailith, my best friend.” I introduced

Aiden smiled at Ailith, and she smiled back. After that, we fell into a quiet, awkward silence.

“So... Aiden tell me, what kind of things do you like to do?” Ailith asked trying to get a conversation started, “Blue here could go on and on about you. ‘Aiden loves to bake it’s so cute.’ ‘Aiden is so adorable when he pushes up his glasses.’ blah blah blah.”

Aiden smiles softly at her sharing my secrets. “I want to own my own bakery. Making sweet treats is what keeps me going.”

“Are you guys excited about tonight?” she asked as we walked to one of the picnic tables in the yard.

“I’m really nervous honestly. I’m just trying to focus on one minute at a time.”

We fell into small talk; I was glad to see Aiden enjoying his time with my best friend.

“I’m glad you had fun. We still have a few hours before the pack meeting. You got any idea on what we should do?” I asked walking up to him; I gently glided my hand up his back.

“Oh, I think I have a few ideas.” He basically purred while running his hands up my chest and around my neck.

I pulled his body against mine, I leaned closer to his face and seductively whispered in his ear. “Cuddles?”

“Cuddles!” He shouted back before he ran to the bedroom. I laughed and followed after him.

When I got to our bedroom I found him on the bed, his pants were abandoned on the floor. He held his arms out to me, calling me to join him on the bed. I smiled as I shed my pants and joined him on the bed. We laid on our sides, facing each other. His face was in my chest and my arms were around him. Our legs tangled together like a mess of wires. I could’ve stayed like that for the rest of my life, and I would’ve died happy.
