After about three days we packed up camp and began the long journey to find a satellite powerful enough to boost The banshee twins hearing.

I walked at the back of the group as I was still a bit disorientated from my experience. I was still confused about why Shelly had tried to run off with me. I wasn't exactly able to escape so why was she so desperate to get me away from them. I mean I had never seen her before but apparently she knew who i was. She knew more about me than I did. In fact, she even told me that my birthday was in just over a week. I didn't have the foggiest idea when it was. Noone did.

I kept tripping over my own feet as we walked past the shy river (Apparently that's what it is called as it only flows for a few days at a time before going dry and restarting.) I was not quite myself.

All of a sudden I got a feeling we were being watched. I hollered over to Josh and Sammy and we huddled around Shelly so as to protect her. Then someone dropped from a tree. It was a boy. His eyes were cold and his hands were in a position similar to as if he was going to blast something from his hands. A purple mist clouded his hands and without warning, he blasted Sammy. She was thrown 20 feet into the air and she fell to the ground unconscious. Josh ran to her side and tried to wake her. The boy just smiled. I looked back and shelly had run to help Sammy.

I stared down the boy. He stared back at me and smiled. Without thinking I burst out in rage and a purple fire consumed me. I began to unwillingly shoot blasts of what looked like shards of space at him. He dodged most of them but one went straight through his hand. He stared at me and pulled it out as if it was nothing. He created a portal beneath me and dropped me 50 feet. I used another portal to catch myself. We squared off and used all of our might to kill each other. I refused to back down. Not ever. I threw blackholes at him but he just as easily sent them away. I was forced into hand to hand combat. I was never very good at this so he landed a lot of blows. My fist lit up purple again and I used the last of my strength to knock him out. The blow was more powerful than I anticipated and he crumpled to the ground. I went over to where he landed to make sure he was down. I knelt beside him. He was going cold.No.Did I? No, no. Oh, why am I kidding myself I murdered him?

I crept away and sobbed. He is the first person i ever intentionally killed. His lifeless corpse lay just across from me.

I went back to him and placed my hand on his chest. As I did it was agony. As if I was stuck breathing the same breath over and over. Being dead yet still suffering. My insides were being burnt down to nothing. I was there silent. Incapable of life or death.Seeing time stop. An eternity passed.

Life rushed back into me and I fell to the floor.At least I thought I did. Shelly was by my side trying to do CPR. Thank goodness or I might as well be dead.Tears were pouring down her face as she kept pushing on my chest. She saw my eyes open and she pulled me to her chest as she continued to cry.I didn't move so as to let her embrace me. Josh and Sammy began to hug me too.they were all so glad I was alive.

I must admit why can’t I go one week without nearly dying. I mean come on. Why is the world against me? What did I do to deserve this?

I had to peel the others off of me to go back to the boy. He was their lifeless. He did not need to die. I looked in his jacket pocket and he had a phone. Luckily it didn't have a pin so I unlocked it and went straight to his photos. He had so many with this young girl. She must have been his sister. They looked so happy. Sammy came over to look at them as well. She looked so happy to know he had a family. One that really loved him. One of the photos showed him blowing out candles on a birthday cake that said his name.Thomas.I looked at his most recent addition and it was a video.

Thomas screamed “GET THAT THING AWAY FROM ME! I did not agree to this.” The lady hit him in the neck and the boy's arm went limp he was so shocked he stopped struggling and the lady injected him with the serum. The boy grabbed his phone and you see the ground so he must have been running. Then he picks it up to his face and we see his eyes go black. He ends the video.

Sammy began to shiver. I looked back at him. The boy did not do this on purpose. He was drugged into it. And it's all my fault he's dead.

I hear the voice in my head again and he says “Repeat this - vacat vobis, liberum est vita vivet pretium vitae”

I listened to the voice and spoke those exact words.I watched as a white light rose from his body and floated around each of us. Each time it passed me it paused momentarily. After a few minutes, it halted in front of me. I heard it whisper "My power is yours to wield."The light passed through me and did not come back out. I felt a surge of power.

Everyone just stared at me. I was lost for words.

"Wha?"

Shelly did not look as shocked as the others. She spoke softly so as not to alarm me.

"It's ok. That light was the source of his powers.When a mystic dies it's power is passed on to the most suitable host.They could be a few feet away or hundreds of miles."

"so what do we do now?" Asked Josh."I mean we can't keep going if void has powers that she can't control yet ."

I sighed in agreement.What if these powers are as dangerous as we think.

"Wait ,wait ,wait ,wait ,wait ,wait,wait.Wait. Guys when I killed him I used powers I had no idea even existed I mean come on doesn't that scare you. Shooting what I'm gonna call space shard from my hands and setting my self on fire with a cold flame; I mean shouldn't that be the real worry."

Josh and Sammy agreed. I decided that they needed a safe place.Somewhere we could train and be hidden from the rest of the world. I knew exactly where we would need to go.

The elemental heart.

"Hey guys"

They replied"Yeah"

"I can't practice out in the open. I need somewhere safe and secluded. About a month ago my friends and I created a grave for our families and all the Mystics we had lost on the way. For each power, a symbol of it formed. There would be no safer place and there we can put Thomas to rest."

"How do we even get there it's not like we know where we are?"

"I could create a portal there as I know exactly what it looked like."

Sammy nodded on agreement and josh always agreed with her. I made us a portal and had them walk through one at a time. I ran through and closed the portal so one at a time they could walk through and I followed just after.

they were all in awe at the heart and I was too. It had changed so much. A stone archway was by the entrance to the clearing as all the trees had encased the heart with the lake. Ivy had grown down the dirt pillars and many more flowers had been planted. People had been her and use dit as a grave for their loved ones. This has become a sacrilegious place for all Mystics. This place we beyond comprehension.there were so many of us out there. Stone, plant, fire water earth sound psychic air electricity.

As we walked up two people bounded from the trees and were pointing their spears at us.

"Proove your powers" They demanded.

I created a small black hole but the twins did not do anything.

Josh spoke"If we were to prove our powers we might kill you. We are the banshee twins. We manipulate sound."

They lowered their weapons on us but kept them raised at shelly. I raced to their defence and said

"Wait don't kill her. She has no powers but is the only reason we are alive."They looked at each other then lowered their weapons.

"Anything for Ethera Queen of the mystics. Now may I ask why have you come here?"

I was about to reply when Josh stepped forward and spoke.

"We have come to seek sanctuary and to lay a friend to rest. Our queen has been seen worthy of new powers so must learn to use them."

The older of the two stepped forward and spoke "I am Athena and this is Eryl we are the keepers of the Mystic knowledge. I can help you train but first, you may pay respects."

She guided us over and Josh placed down a small cloth and the Heart began to sing these words

When I went to go place Thomas' phone on the grave something very curious happened.The single black hole split. Forming two smaller ones.

I was so shocked, that means he was ethera as well but I thought there could only be one of each element as it isn't inherited but passed on from the dead.that means I might find other Fire Mystics other water Mystics.

Eryl spoke up and said "I'm sorry for the loss of your brother"

"WAIT BROTHER!"

"Yes, when you were just getting your powers you had a twin.His powers were dormant but when he was given C.A.R he gained control of them but the doctor who gave them to him had control over him.So someone is out there trying to kill you.I cannot divulge with you to whom I speak but a word of caution.She will not stop until she sees your dead corpse placed upon her doorstep."

"Why would someone want me dead?"

We all walked off to rest for the night while shelly stayed behind to speak with Athena.I wonder what they were talking about.

"Are you sure it is her that is not ready?"

"Your right.I'm not ready. How do I tell her I mean to tell her I let the orphanage take her and for people to think I've been dead for all this time. Imagine how ashamed she will be of me; how much she will hate me. I was never there for her but I can be now. Thank you, Athena. I'm ready to tell her I'm her mother".
