Then, she answered, “Thanks for the thought. Where are you bringing me, Mr. 

Hayes?” 

“These are my favorite flowers. You’ll know where we’re going once we get there.”

Samantha was speechless. Who would ever give their own favorite flowers to

Rather than getting the feeling that he was a sinister man, Samantha felt that this 

was his authentic self. 

Conrad left Samantha in the house. She helped the elderly Arqueland couple 

prepare dinner.
