Kendrick stood at the door in a white dressing gown, and his smile gradually intensified.
Samantha picked up the pillow beside her and threw it over at him, but Kendrick dodged it easily.
“You came of your own will last night.”
Kendrick picked up the pillow by his feet, opened the photo album on his phone,

That morning, she really had thought that Kendrick had done something to her last

Flustered, she paid for the room and the shoes, neither of which were cheap. The

She told him the name of the hotel.

Kendrick wouldn’t mind if she rested for a day.
Impatience flashed across Francis‘ features, and he said in a low voice, “Do me a
favor.”
“What favor?”
“Pretend to be my girlfriend and go to a party with me.
Francis took out an intricate invitation from his pocket.
In the quiet office, Linda temporarily replaced Samantha and took care of business
for Kendrick.
Jude was outside and had announced that there would be a meeting. Then he
walked into the office holding an invitation. He paused when he saw Linda, then
placed the invitation in front of Kendrick.
Linda laughed to herself. Since Sophia wasn’t here today, there probably wouldn’t be anyone competing with her for Kendrick.
Kendrick scanned the invitation and smiled as he told Jude to prepare for it.
“Is there going to be a party, Kenny?”
Linda placed the documents on Kendrick’s desk and leaned over curiously.
“Yes.”
“I want to go, Kenny. Will you take me?”
Linda leaned over to try to take Kendrick’s arm, but she was blocked as he picked up
a glass of water.
