Now, there was no trace of Samantha in the old Ford residence. 

At the party, Samantha had woven through the crowd like a social butterfly, and she was able to strike up a lively conversation with someone whom she had only met a few minutes before. 

She was surrounded by the elite and bosses, and she had even received invitations to collaborate. 

When Francis reappeared at the venue, the people around Samantha trickled away as if they had planned it in advance. By the time Francis reached Samantha, there was no one beside her. 

“Where’s Kendrick?” Francis asked. 

When Samantha heard this, she looked around the sparse crowd, and only then did she realize that the brilliant man had left long ago. 

“He’s probably gone to look for his date.” 

Samantha laughed coldly. 

“It’s about time that we leave. A nuisance has come.” Francis took Samantha’s hand, and his gaze darkened involuntarily. 

Samantha didn’t know what nuisance Francis was talking about, and they just left the aimless party they had attended. 

Samantha carried Nathan into the car, followed closely by Francis. 

Through the thick glass, Samantha clearly saw the familiar woman standing at the door.

As she sat in her BMW, she could easily see Linda parking her car and rushing 

angrily into the elevator, and she couldn’t resist smiling. 

Linda would always just be the daughter of Kendrick’s mentor, and she would never 

attain the position that she wanted. 

“Francis, why would your father agree to let me go overseas alone with him?” 

Samantha spoke softly without being accusatory. All she wanted to do was to ask. 

Francis paused too long, and just as Samantha was about to say that the signal 

wasn’t good so that she could call again, Francis finally spoke quietly. 

“I can only explain this to you in the future. Go ahead. Kendrick wouldn’t do

filled with cramped notes on things that he had to take note of. 

Things were always harder for foreigners, so Kendrick always made sure to 

thoroughly prepare whenever he had to have business meetings overseas. 

“Jude is in charge of the company, and you are in charge of my daily life for the next 

three days,” Kendrick said after he sat down.
