Chapter 19 Sing It One More Time! 

Her son, Luca, was packing his bag at the side. They had been practicing writing the whole afternoon. 

“Thanks for your help, Ms. Healy. I bought you some fruits.” 

Ancira put the apples on the table. 

Not only did Ms. Healy help to take care of her children, but she also allowed Aneira to pay rent at the end of the year. Ms. Healy also often bought snacks for the twins. 

When Aneira received her pay, she always bought some fruits for Ms. Healy as thanks.

Aneira nodded. “Alright, Ms. Healy.” 

She pulled the twins with one hand each as they walked out of Ms. Healy’s house. 

Yivi raised her head and asked naïvely in a baby voice, “Mama, is Papa home?” 

Ancira said gently, “Papa is performing. He should be coming back later.” 

In reality, she wasn’t sure if Neil would be coming back. 

Every day, she felt that Neil’s repentance was only temporary, and he would quickly return to how he was before. 

It was customary for him to come back drunk late at night. In fact, coming home every day seemed unusual for him. 

Yivi pursed her lips. “I want Papa. Papa will bring yummy food when he comes back.”

He took out an envelope and gave it to Neil. 

“Although you promised to sing for free, you redeemed my reputation. Please accept this token of appreciation.”

Mr. Rockson gave him

“I heard you’re looking for a job. I’ll recommend you for performances if any of my friends are opening up a business. Also, I know the principal of Cloubury High School. Neil thanked him again.. 

After he walked out of Forest Supermarket, he found a quiet spot and counted the money in the envelope.

Mr. Rockson was considered generous.
