Chapter 13
My body underwent the process of shock the moment I heard the threat coming out of his mouth. From the corner of my eyes, I noticed the topic of broken watch had somehow now changed to a debate of difference in taste of chocolate and strawberry.
“Why did you had a sudden urge of showing your generosity? ”
“What do you mean?”
“I meant that, where were you when your so called Alpha King had rejected me? Now you have no authority to come out of nowhere and just order me to participate in a childish feuded-fight whatever it is.”
“Jennifer it is feudal and I guess there is some misunderstanding.”
“What? Do I look like an idiot to you?”
Somehow behind me where my friends who were to busy in the debate of chocolate and strawberry had somehow chorused in a loud “YES”.
Rolling my eyes I turned towards the Beta King who was trying to hold in laughter but his amusement outshoned from his eyes.
He continued,” I meant that you were never rejected.” The words said were enough for me to freeze. “The sentence was never completed due to the incident taking place.”
Remembering the day," I, Alpha King, Daniel Xavier Stone, reject you, Jennifer Abigail Meredith, as my-----” Yes, somehow, he was speaking the truth. The sentence was never actually completed.
Keeping the invitation in my hand once again, he told me to rethink about my decision and then meeting him at a café the next day.
Turning around I saw my friends still debating on the great topic. Dragging them inside we continued our remaining day. I was considering my decision about the things told by the Beta King.
Reaching my home I wasn’t much shocked to see a huge party going on. It was just a normal celebration done every other day. I safely reached the safety of my room, landed on my bed and spent the whole night in my room rethinking my decision. The next day I was woken up by the Satan and the experiment in order to clean the house after the party night, while they departed for god knows where.
Cleaning everything I once again rewinded the whole scenario of yesterday in my brain. Yes. I had made my decision. As the clock struck 5.00 pm I was already sitting in the café waiting for the Beta King. He entered the café in such a way that even in the main leads of a show would eat shame in front of him. Looking like a high-class billionaire, wearing all kinds of wealthy things a person could only think about and here I was in a mere hoodie and a normal geans which is being used since thousands of years. As he reached and sat on the chair opposite to me, without letting him speak a word I start,
“My decision is that......”
